Fused Glass 'Awakening Spring' Workshop at the Warehouse

Creative Fused Glass at the Warehouse - Fused Glass Workshop - half day class at the Whaley Bridge Transhipment warehouse. Morning 10:30 - 1:30 pm I'm excited to introduce this NEW 'Awakening Spring' fused glass course. This workshop is a 3hr session allowing you to create a couple of fused glass pieces for your garden or home. On this workshop you will firstly have a go at scoring and cutting glass. You will then be given the base glass shape of your fused piece which you can decorate using powdered glass frits and stencils. Extra detail can be added using glass jewels and stringers. You will have access to top quality 'Bullseye glass' fusing materials and equipment. Maximum 8 participants, so lots of personal support if you need it. Suitable for beginners and for those who have completed Fused Glass workshops previously. Your Fused Glass work will be fired and ready for collection 1 -2 weeks later. Postage costs extra. Private group workshops are available on request. The Transhipment Warehouse in the High Peak town of Whaley Bridge is home to High Peak Heritage Crafts. This Grade II listed historic gritstone warehouse, built in 1801 and used in the loading and unloading of cargo on the Peak Forest canal (including limestone) has undergone a recent refurbishment and is run by a community interest company.

What's included in the price?

Tools, materials and safety equipment are provided for all courses. Participants are simply asked to bring their own supply of enthusiasm (we provide tea, coffee and biscuits during the course). There is an on-site cafe and bookshop to browse during any breaks!
