Beginners Stained Glass Day With Panoramic Sea Views

Description

Looking for a unique and creative way to spend your weekend? Join us for our Beginners Stained Glass Day at Glass & Arrow Studios! Learn how to create your very own personalised stained glass suncatcher while taking in the stunning panoramic sea views. It's the perfect way to unwind and tap into your artistic side. All ages and abilities are welcome! Make a feather or honeycomb design and add your personal style by choosing from a range of carefully selected coloured glass. When you're finished take a walk along the beautiful seafront and explore the beautiful Victorian town of Clevedon. You will be guided through the following ✧ materials and equipment ✧ workspace preparation ✧ health and safety ✧ selection of glass ✧ scoring, cutting and breaking ✧ shaping, foiling and soldering ✧ cleaning, polishing and hanging Additional information • No previous experience is required. All abilities are more than welcome. • 2 person capacity to optimise the space • Please keep in mind that there will be quite a bit of standing and moderate labour during the making of your stained glass sun catcher. Glass cutting also requires a certain amount of strength and mobility in the wrist. • May run over depending on progress. It is best to keep the following hour free and avoid needing to rush off. • Not suitable for women who are pregnant or breast feeding due to the lead content in the solder. • It is recommended that you wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing and no open sandals. Aprons and protective equipment will be provided. • Refreshments/tea/coffee is provided. Please let me know of any allergies when making the booking. Please bring a packed lunch or there is a supermarket nearby. • Ground floor access to both the studio and toilet but unfortunately no wheelchair access. • Exact directions will be emailed to you once your booking is made. Public transport from Bristol by bus is recommended. X6, X7. Drops off at Elton road or Wellington Terrace which is 1 minute from the studio. • Parking can be a little tight due to the amount of tourists who visit and as a result I would advise allowing plenty of time between arrival to Clevedon and the start of the workshop. Residential parking in the area is free of charge.

"We had simply the best time with Aveen. From the minute she greeted us at the front door, she was welcoming, friendly and encouraging. We received excellent, professional tuition and guidance from Aveen (including her keen attention to health and safety), which meant that we produced two beautiful stained glass pieces. My mum has not stopped talking about how proud she is that she made her own feather. The range of glass colours, patterns and textures was exquisite, and we had free rein to choose whatever we liked, which was fantastic, and Aveen was there to provide expertise if needed.
