Mick McMenemy reviewed: Spoon Carving with Touchwood Glasgow

"I attended one of Robert’s Craftwood courses yesterday (Saturday 5th March 2023). Robert patiently and expertly took a small group of complete novices through the various techniques, from splitting a log and carving right through to completing a hand-made spoon to take home at the end of the day. The course is completely hands on and great fun. I hope to attend future events. The workshop is conveniently located right beside Queens Park Station off Victoria Rd in the Southside. This course is highly recommended. "

H Nelson reviewed: Beginners Silver Jewellery Course

"I agree with the previous reviews. I have just had a fabulous day at Dandelion Silver on a beginner’s course for jewellery making. Mark made me feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. I had a fabulous day. Mark is a fantastic tutor and we left with some lovely pieces of jewellery. I agree with previous posts it was very good value for money. I made a set of stacker rings two individual rings with a stone setting and an individual wide band ring. You can tell I like my rings. Mark is very patient and explains everything you need to know to complete your projects, which are entirely your own choice. My daughter was so impressed I feel that we could be going back together later on in the year to have some more fun. It was Brilliant would recommend to anyone. "

Dandelion Silver responded:

"Thank you so much for you review Helen, it really makes it worthwhile when people enjoy our classes. You would be more than welcome to come back anytime and show your daughter how to go on. Mark"

Jessica Lake reviewed: Candle Making Course at Butterfly Barn Studio - Private Workshop for up to 4

"Kathy was a very knowledgeable and patient instructor, who took the time to explain all elements to us. She was well prepared and had even created special dated booklets for the specific session. We created a fragranced candle, some beautiful wax melts and then printed our own design on a soy candle. Throughout, Kathy was very patient and allowed us to include little extras such as crystals and ribbon to make them look even more special. Fantastic session and highly recommend. "

Jared Martin reviewed: Silver Ring Making Workshop

"This was such a fantastic experience. Surprisingly easy to find considering how remote the location is. Darren was very welcoming and couldn’t be a better host. We arrived and got stuck straight in. We had a vague idea of what design we wanted so we’re able to get straight into the making of the rings. Gave some great advice on how each one would be made. Talked us through each step with some of the technical aspects and helped at every stage. My girlfriend and I have came away with two amazing rings. Some cool wee snacks as well. I shall be recommending this experience to everyone who asks. "

Immeroin Farm Workshop responded:

"Two fantastic rings created and a great afternoon. Well done and it was lovely to meet you both. "

Amanda reviewed: Glass blowing for beginners with Jon Lewis

"Me and my boyfriend did this course as our birthday treats, and what can we say we had a fantastic day. Jon's skills are outstanding with glass and he was a fantastic teacher, so understanding and patient with us. The day was so well run from learning to doing, and even a pizza cooked by Jon in the kiln for lunch. We would both highly recommend doing this course with Jon, and we both hope to come back and do another one soon. "
