Amy C reviewed: Furniture upcycling workshop - 1 day

"Fully enjoyed the upcycling workshop with Hannah. It was a perfect set up with just a small group so everyone got as much help/attention as they required. It is something I have wanted to try for a while now, and I learnt so much from Hannah about prepping and painting etc. I was buzzing with my completed piece of furniture at the end! I have come away much more confident about having a go at doing something myself and putting everything I learnt into practice! :) Thanks Hannah x"

Steph Jackson reviewed: Introduction to herbal medicine - weekend courses

"My sister and I recently attended this course and had such a wonderful weekend. We learnt so much about the power of herbs and how to use them to enrich our lives. Rowan is a fantastic teacher, her informal workshop allowed us to learn so much in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We really enjoyed the practical aspect of how to make our ointments, creams and teas. Something we would definitely continue to do at home too. She has a beautiful garden where we were able to walk around and identify the plants we were talking about too. Looking forward to attending another course of Rowan's in the near future! "

Rowan Mconegal responded:

"Thanks for your lovely review Steph, your feedback is much appreciated, and I am so happy that you both enjoyed the weekend and plan to use the knowledge and experience in the future. I look forward to seeing you again, and meanwhile, Happy herbalising! "

Nick O'Shea reviewed: Spray painting - furniture, doors, sculpture, metal, wood, masonry

"An excellent day course, that provided a complete overview of Spray Painting with a good balance of progressive theory and practical application. David's extension knowledge and skill allows for the training to be delivered at an individual level, all practical skills were delivered with all safety considerations taught using first class equipment and materials. Overall a professionally delivered skills course, all you need to start spraying safety with plenty of tips and advice throughout the day, thanks. "

Great British Woodshop responded:

"I highly recommend taking a day class in mosaics with Emily if you are looking for a relaxing but rewarding day learning a new skill. Emily was a very warm, welcoming host who made the day of learning good fun and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Emily was brilliant at helping everyone in the group in spite of us working at different paces. Really nice, small group environment and I have to say that the home made refreshments were delicious! "

Esther reviewed: Saturday (fortnightly) Bobbin Lace Making - Daytime Mixed Lace Classes (Effingham, Surrey).

"It was a wonderful experience. I was a total beginner, but Tina was so kind and patient. The whole day was a lovely experience, as have tea and cake, and a nice environment. More importantly, Tina explained it so well and didn't mind sharing her knowledge. You don't need to buy a lot of tools, etc. to experience it, they will provide it for the student, which is way easier for a new beginner to try it out. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. "

Tina's Bobbin Lacemaking responded:

"Hello Esther It was a pleasure to meet you and teach someone who was so excited in learning a new skill. I know that you have been practicing and looking forward to seeing your samples and taking you forward in your lace making journey. Regards Tina"

"A brilliant weekend. This was my first time with Jo having been recommended by a friend. I was thrilled to come home with a sculpture that I am really proud of. Jo guides you through the process but encourages you to develop your own ideas. The studio is a superb environment to work in, surrounded by a garden full of sculptures for inspiration. "

"Thank you Sue Your leaping hare was a great success and the rusty finish will keep developing over the next few weeks. Also glad you enjoyed making your little clay pig on day 2 whilst waiting for paint to dry on your main sculpture! Jo x"

M and J reviewed: Kate Morrell willow sculpture courses

"We both really enjoyed the day. Much to our surprise – we were complete beginners - we each managed to complete a running duck. Kate gave clear instructions and helped with the tricky bits. She had already prepared the feet, and the willow ball one starts off with, which meant we could do it all in a day. Her husband made a lovely lunch of some pizza, well-filled cobs, some crisps, and water. Tea and coffee available throughout. A wonderful and productive day."

Angie Weston reviewed: Sculpture workshop two days with Jo Garden Art in beautiful rural Norfolk/Suffolk border setting

"Another brilliant two day workshop with Jo. This time making a running hare to join my leaping hare. Jo is such a brilliant tutor and makes everyone feel relaxed from the moment they arrive. Working on a sculpture is so therapeutic in such a calm environment. Not forgetting Andy (Jo's husband) who makes the armatures from which the sculptures are formed and take on a life of their own. I would highly recommend either the one or two day courses as no previous experience is necessary. Thank you Jo!"

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Angie It was fabulous having you back in the studio to create a companion to your original large leaping hare made last year. I look forward to seeing a photo of them together! Don't hesitate to make contact if you have any questions before applying the rust finish to your original hare using the products I supplied. It is a great effect! Jo xx"
