Would you like to be taken through the process of upcycling a piece of furniture from start to finish? This ‘bring your own piece’ full day course will give you all the tools, tips and advice to beautifully upcycle your piece of furniture. This will include being shown how to prep, sand, paint and finish your item using exciting, modern paint techniques that will breathe a new lease of life into you chosen piece. If you have always wanted to upcycle furniture, but felt like you would benefit from professional guidance then this is the course for you! You will learn how to prepare your furniture, using wood filler, expert sanding and paint techniques. You will learn to create stunningly modern geometric designs that are simple to achieve. By the end of the day you will leave with a gorgeous piece of upcycled furniture, feeling confident of your skills and full of ideas for future projects. The workshops have a relaxed and informal atmosphere where we can inspire each other and have lots of fun along the way. To ensure you get my full support throughout the day class sizes are limited to 6 people. All you need to bring is an unpainted, wooden piece of furniture. This should be small enough to carry and no larger than a bedside table or wooden chair. Contact me with any questions or for recommendations of where to source your preloved piece. Send a picture of it if you would like advice. All abilities are welcome. It can get messy so please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on. I am a qualified teacher and tutor and have been running workshops for several years. I started my own upcycling furniture business in 2015 and will share everything I’ve learnt with you. What's included in the price?
All materials, you just need to bring the piece of furniture you want to upcycle! You will also receive your own information pack to take home, detailing all that is covered in the workshop. There is a little cafe at Pear Mill where you are welcome to break and get some lunch during the day or feel free to bring a pack lunch.
