Tania Phillips reviewed: The First Cut - lino cutting for beginners & rusty printmakers in Derbyshire

"I had a wonderful time. Liz is very welcoming and fantastic at sharing her skills then letting us loose! I was amazed at what I managed to achieve in the workshop. One of my prints is already framed and hanging on the wall. Such a great introduction and I feel equipped with the skills to have a go at home on my own. Highly recommend."

Liz Wellby - Artist, Teacher & Maker responded:

"Hi Tania, Lovely to hear from you and thanks for telling me about your workshop. I’m really pleased that you enjoyed your day lino cutting and printing and equally impressed that you now have a completed piece hanging on your wall. It’s such a great process and once you have your cutters, a roller and some ink, you’ll be off. What’s your next design going to be? Happy cutting and printing. Best wishes Liz Wellby "

Penny G reviewed: Enamelling on Metal/Silver Clay

"Toni was a very knowledgeable and friendly tutor. My husband purchased the enamelling on silver clay session with her as a Christmas present. I had done silver clay before but the enamelling was completely new to me. Because of my experience with silver clay I felt that I would have preferred less time planning my pieces but more time enamelling them. I Thoroughly enjoyed my day with Toni and would definitely recommend her and her courses to others."

CG Crafts responded:

"Thank you for your feedback. The planning process is important for enamelling on silver clay and most students who come have done neither craft, or generally need a reminder even if they have. However, having taken your thoughts on board, for those that have done silver clay before I will look into sending them some planning info beforehand to speed up the silver clay part of the process, then I can be stricter on the timings for the planning/prototype section. It may also need to be just a one-to-one class for this to work. I’ll have a think. Best wishes, Toni :-)"

MRS MIRANDA HUDSON reviewed: Polytunnel grow your own: productive, organic, year round food growing

"I really enjoyed this course which I did in early March ready to tackle the new growing season, but I've learned that I will be able to keep growing through most of the year! It was very refreshing to see the mix of plants that Kim is growing in her tunnels and beds, rather than tidy blocks which I'm no good at. There's a lot to take in but it was all very inspiring. Thank you!!"

Green Rocket Courses responded:

"Thank you Miranda. That's so great to hear. It was super lovely to meet. Please do drop me a line with any questions anytime. x Kim "

Sue D reviewed: Painting Restoration

"Really enjoyed the day spent cleaning a family oil painting. Rachael was so good at demonstrating various cleaning techniques and giving great insights into the science/theory behind the processes. Was so rewarding to see the nicotine layers fade away and the hidden fresh colours emerge. Would highly recommend and hope to return later this year, to complete final stages of the paintings’ full restoration. "

Rachael Milligan at Little Leaf Studio responded:

"Dear Sue, Thank you for such a lovely day. It was wonderful to find such vibrancy and detail of colour underneath the nicotine and varnish of your family painting. I hope you enjoy discovering the rest and I look forward to completing the final stages with you. "

Tara Reichow reviewed: Explore your Creativity in Enamels - an introductory morning of enamelling for 2 people

"Myself and a friend had a wonderful time on Christine's enamelling course. It was just the 2 of us there and she was patient and welcoming with all her instructions. We had a great time learning all about enamelling and Christine was great at entertaining all our questions. We came out with some great pieces, only over shone by the amazon pieces around the workshop that Christine has produced herself (which we couldn't help ourselves but bought a few of those items too). Thank you Christine we had a lovely time together and thinking of bringing back our older children to give it a try. "

Original Kiln-fired Enamelled Jewellery responded:

"Thank you Tara, for your generous review. I really enjoy sharing my knowledge of the craft. It’s so satisfying to be involved with people as they find their creative side and can take real pride in their achievement. So glad the two of you enjoyed the experience. It would be great to see you again, if you choose to come again with your children, I’m sure they would have fun."

Vivienne reviewed: Asymmetrical basket (2 day) workshop with Hopewood Baskets

"Completely brilliant course in every way. Sarah and Marcus are just the best tutors, friendly, knowledgeable and patient, allowing everyone to work at their own pace. The course was extremely well planned and we all went home with finished baskets! A couple of people had done a little basket making before, but most of us were complete novices and we learned so much. The workshop room was spacious, bright and airy and very close to the train station and city centre. If you're wondering whether to go, just book, I cannot recommend it highly enough!"

Hopewood Baskets responded:

"Hi Vivienne, Thanks so much for the wonderful review, it absolutely makes our day when we read such kind words - we really do want everyone to have a fab time, so we’re SO pleased that you did. "
