This workshop is suitable for all abilities. In the morning we will sculpt with clay to make seed heads or flowers, I will demonstrate the techniques used to make a poppy seed head and will guide you to make other designs. I will have examples for inspiration or you can come with your own ideas. After a break for lunch we will paint on the bronze and green glaze (this is called raw glazing).
Please bring a packed lunch; I will provide tea, coffee and biscuits. Also bring an apron and wear old clothes and closed toed shoes. If you have any seed heads or flowers that you would like to bring along for inspiration please do!
I am a qualified teacher and have been teaching pottery since 2016.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
The cost of the workshop includes the firing of three seed heads and the steel rods to go with them. If you find that you make more than three seed heads, then its a small cost of £4 per additional piece for the firing and extra metal rod. Once your work has been fired I will let you know that they are ready for collection, or we can arrange for them to be posted to you at an extra cost.

I'll overlook the lack of instruction to cut my nails!!!
Seriously - a fantastic day. Emma took us through all the various parts of creation - with simple, easy instructions - amazing all the different seed heads we created - eager to come back and make more
