Description

Hello, I'm Sharon, an experienced self taught sculptor & Guest Ceramic Tutor for Clayshare.

I regularly run fun & informal 1:1 sculpting sessions based from my Pottery Studio in Heskin, Lancashire. The classes run everyday except Mondays.

Come & Join me in making an Animal of your choice, The session lasts around 3 hours, there is no rush and I work at your pace. You will learn how to shape, mould and sculpt clay by hand, making fabulous Memories & a clay creation to treasure.

During this class I regularly make Foxes, Hares, Highland cows, Rhinos, Pigs & Donkeys to name a few. We have lots of examples in the studio - or you may have your own ideas on what you wish to make.

Once you've created your master piece it stays with us for firing & glazing. Collection is 2-3 weeks later. You are also welcome to take the item home to air dry, should you wish.

All our classes are taught 1:1 unless you come as a couple or part of a group. Full step by step tuition is given so the course is suitable for beginners and children over 8 years. More advanced potters are also welcome.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

All materials & tools needed
Finished Sculpture, finished in a black Oxide wash (collected 3-4 weeks after class)
Hot drink

Optional Extra: Should you wish you can return to the studio for a second visit and colour glaze your item yourself. The cost of this is an additional £5

Came on the sculpting day course with a friend for her birthday. We both made a very cute hare!! Sharon was lovely. She guided us through each stage and made her instructions very easy for us to follow. Neither of us had done this sort of thing before but we loved it and can’t wait to go back and make something else. We both loved our little hares. Thanks Sharon. We’ll be back!!

Response from The Crafty potter:
