Childrens Pottery Classes at The Crafty Potter

our wild thing pots are popular makes

Hello, I'm sharon an experienced self taught ceramic sculpture & clay artist and a guest tutor for Clayshare. I regularly run fun and informal pottery sessions from my studio in Chorley, Lancashire.

Our children's classes are a fun & creative way for children 6 years & over to experience clay in a fun environment. The children simply choose what they wish to make from our examples & ideas in the studio... it could be a pen pot, wild thing pot or even a modelled animal to name a few. The choice is limitless and they wont be stuck for ideas.

The children are shown how to build, assemble & join clay to make their fabulous clay creation. Once made the children then paint their item with our glazes, ready for collection at a later date

The class is taught 1:1 unless they come with siblings or friends, it has been specially designed with simple steps so that children can easily follow the steps & instructions - 2 spectating adults can accompany the child/ren during the class. The class runs everyday except Mondays.

Accompanying adults may also take part in the class at a cost of £30pp
