Howell Evans reviewed: Learn to turn in Snowdonia, North Wales - Full day

"It was my first time wood turning and I was a little apprehensive but from the moment I met Les I felt totally at ease. His method of teaching is that of being a friend more than a teacher. He was very knowledgeable about all aspects of wood turning and, after a brief safety instruction, he got straight into making my very first bowl which turned out beautifully. He taught me so much and I will definitely be going back after practising what I was taught. If you need help and advice, Les is the best around."

Pren responded:

"Thanks for the review, Howell. You'll always be welcome to return - we had a good, productive day"

Julia reviewed: Introduction to Lino Printing in Cambridgeshire

"What a wonderful day in great company! Such an enjoyable experience; guided and encouraged so well by Judith as she showed us the techniques to get us started. Never imagined I would leave with something of which I felt proud. I have been well and truly bitten by the bug and am off to buy supplies! I now cannot wait to return for a print reduction class to take it to the next level. Highly recommended for anyone."

Bill reviewed: Spoon Carving with Touchwood Glasgow

"This was a really great course. Robert demonstrated how to use an axe to create an oblong blank then how to chip away the excess wood. The whittling knives purposes and techniques were then explained. Like most beginners I was often approaching the tasks from an awkward angle. Robert skilfully corrected any wayward work and encouraged progress. A thoroughly enjoyable day, and my first spoon will be one of many."

Cec reviewed: Get to know your sewing machine - North Devon

"Want to make blinds etc and never really learned how to use a sewing machine. So I have borrowed my mother-in-law's 1960s sewing machine. This didn't phase Alex at all, she checked it over and taught me all the basics... straight lines, riding over bulkier seams, even zips. Great confidence giver, I need to buy the fabric and get sewing now! Thanks Alex. "

Alex O'Hara's Quilts responded:

"It was lovely to meet you, I am glad you feel more confident. Happy sewing. Alex"

Nina reviewed: Woodland beauty taster- Creams, Balms, Body Butters

"I bought this as a mother's day present, and attended with my Mum. We had lots of fun and laughs, and came home with a wide selection of lovely products. I love to craft and make candles and soaps, with the knowledge this course has given me I'm confident I will be able to make some simple natural creams at home too. My Dad has very sensitive skin and found the creams we brought home to be very nice on his skin, as they are made from basic ingredients like natural oils and butters. We would love to come back for more!"

Workshops in the Woods responded:

"Hi Nina so glad you enjoyed it was lovely to meet you and mum-You made some amazing stuff In naughty corner! And mum really pulled off that last tricky cream amazingly so well done her. Glad dad likes the products and hopefully will see you again for another course soon kind regards Rachel "

Helen reviewed: Enamelling on Metal/Silver Clay

"Great experience from start to finish. Toni creates a very friendly, easygoing atmosphere. It was helpful to have a little prior experience, but all explanations were very clear, and group size was small, so Toni had time to help individually and answer any questions. Very happy with the results, too (and so is my daughter, who got a lovely pair of earrings out of my silver clay day :))."
