Really good fun learning the basics of free motion embroidery with Meg. She adapted her style to the varied needs of the group from absolute beginners to those with a little more experience. We all came away with a finished product and the inspiration to practice at home. Meg's studio is a welcoming space, well equipped and she herself is a warm, generous host and teacher. Highly recommend.

I travelled nearly 100 miles to attend this course because i felt the course information was exactly what I wanted to learn. I was more than pleased with the course and it was well worth the journey. Meg was very friendly and supportive to all the students concerning our varying needs which included problems with tension of the threads, machine embroidering text, colour and applique ideas. The length of course was just long enough to achieve some good pieces of work to get us started on our own ideas at home. An excellent teacher who had lots of varying examples of her own work to inspire us.

Most enjoyable and fun workshop. It's great to be able to produce a piece of work after such a short time. Perfect size of group to be able to ask question and not have to wait.

Becky Faulkner - - #13852

I really enjoyed the course. Meg is so friendly and really helpful in showing and talking about how things work to make things easier like threading up the machine correctly and making sure the foot is on! Everything was good and I feel much more confident.

I have no hesitation at all in recommending this course. Meg is such a great teacher, she is very kind, patient and knowledgable. I enjoyed it so much and gained so much from the experience that I am full of enthusiasm to continue. I would love to attend more of Meg's courses and hope I have the opportunity to do so in the future. Thank you so much!

I attended this workshop in Swindon last October.

Meg is a lovely, friendly tutor and explained all the steps clearly and patiently.

Having given me inspiration to create my own little 'wobbly line' works of art I have made and framed a couple of stitched houses and am super pleased with my first attempts and can't wait to do more.

I've made a few greetings cards and most of my Christmas cards which impressed family and friends no end!

Thank you Meg, for the fun and friendly class and getting me started on my new hobby.

Rachel Martin - - #13269

What an inspiring workshop! I started the day full of trepidation and nervousness about sewing without a machine foot (it must be difficult), but ended up confident that I could go home and produce all sorts of wonderful pieces without any further help. Meg was a clear and enthusiastic teacher. I totally recommend this course to anyone who has some sewing experience but fancies producing embroidered work which is unique and admired by all!

Andrea Cook - - #13227

A super session - Meg delivered on all the learning points the course promises. A very friendly atmosphere and an excellent teacher - very inspiring and I’ve completed several projects since. I’m very happy to recommend the course.

Carol Boulton - - #13224

Have wanted to learn this skill for ages - wasn't disappointed at all - Meg was very helpful and explained the stages of the machine embroidery very well - I am now full of ideas as to what to make with this new skill - throw for a bed is underway! Thank you Meg.
