Sian reviewed: Upholstery for Beginners Workshop - in Warrington, Cheshire

"Fantastic day a The Boho Shed!! Jo is such a warm and welcoming person, I immediately felt at ease in her class. She made sure everything we needed for the day was provided so it was really good value for money (and convenient). She taught us all about the materials, tools and techniques to upholstery our footstools and I left feeling confident I could do some upholstery at home... and with a footstool I'm really proud of :-) "

The Boho Shed responded:

"Sian, thank you so very much. You were a pleasure to spend the day with. I’m so pleased you enjoyed the day and went home full of pride. X"

Chris Charlton reviewed: Mastering Pen Making.

"What a wonderful experience. Having enjoyed a lifetime of tinkering with bits of wood, Derek’s pen making workshop was my first proper experience of woodturning since a 2 minute introduction to a lathe at school some 50 years ago. Derek was a patient tutor who adapted quickly to my hands on style of learning. He gave good clear instructions and demonstrations before it was my time to have a go. He guided me through the process step by step, allowing me to take the lead for much of the time but occasionally stepping in with advice when the need arose. The results, a rollerball one piece and a two piece fountain pen are amazing mementos to take away. Thank you for an amazing day Derek. In addition, the craft centre is also a lovely setting with a super craft shop and cafe that serves very tasty lunches. Great day. Thank you"

"This course was even more enjoyable than I expected. It was the first time I had done a course like this so wasn’t sure what to expect but it was so much fun. All materials provided and all in a lovely room upstairs at Megan’s. Jen was a very patient teacher and took the time to check everybody was getting it and gave tips on how to improve. We came away all having gotten a little bit better than at the start and having lettered a couple of pieces ourselves. Highly recommended 3 hours on a Saturday afternoon- the time whizzes by!"

Ruth and John reviewed: Stonecarving Weekend, Gloucestershire Cotswolds

"My partner John and I thoroughly enjoyed the sculpting course with Sebastian. Neither of us has ever carved before, and feel we learnt so much. We both have a real sense of achievement at creating our own sculptures from scratch. Sebastien is very creative, knowledgeable and encouraging. He has so much experience, but a relaxed way of letting you explore the process of creating, whilst providing guidance, hints and tips when you ask. You can choose the size, and shape you want from his stash of stone, and he provides all the hand tools you need. The weekend was relaxing, creative and fun, we enjoyed encouragement and banter with our fellow course member. Working outside in the beautiful and tranquil location, in the glorious sunshine, was wonderful.. I had been a little concerned whether I would have the strength in my cranky hands to do it, but was pleased to discover that it is about subtle technique, not strength, and you can work at your own pace. I feel refreshed and inspired, and also quite proud of what I was able to achieve. It is an experience I will cherish, and hope to repeat. We highly recommend this course. It is a rewarding but dusty process so remember to wear working clothes. 😊 "

Lindsey C reviewed: Needle Felting Workshop - landscape pictures

"My sister and I went on this course with our mum as part of her 80th birthday celebrations. We all really enjoyed it and were delighted with the two felted pictures we each took away. Pip was an excellent tutor. After explaining the basics, she showed us step-by-step how to felt our pictures and made sure we knew what we were doing (and advised us how to correct things when it wasn't quite right). I would thoroughly recommend."

Pippaluk Crafts responded:

"Thank you, it was a pleasure."
