WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Join me as I show you how I created South Beach with Seb 2020 (and South Beach Again 2021) Oil on Canvas. We'll work in high quality acrylics on canvas or canvas board. I’ll show you how to build your painting in layers, working whole canvas, demonstrating each stage as we go. It will be an enjoyable day where we'll go from blank white canvas to a fully formed painting. There'll be a 30 min break in the middle of the session.
My studio is at The Queens Hall, Narberth, a charity events venue located in Pembrokeshire which welcomes a variety of events including art exhibitions and creative workshops. Low cost and well managed parking can be found around the back. Narberth also has a range of shopping places to explore including many delicious eateries.
I have eight socially distanced work spaces in my studio or can fit in larger ‘bubble’ groups - details on request.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
The price of the workshop includes all materials & equipment except brushes - please bring a range of brushes including something like a 1" decorators brush, no.s 4 & 8 Daler Rowney Graduate long handled filbert bristle brushes. A smaller soft round brush may also be useful for the odd bit of detail. Any problems please contact Louise and she can organise supplying you with a set of brushes.
You will need to wear suitable clothes, bring a hand towel, refreshments and bring lunch.

The course was well run and we were very Covid safety conscious. Louis had made sure we all had a safe workspace to work in. We all produced an exceptable painting of South Beach Tenby and I for one learnt about using different colours for different effects. It was good value for money and interesting to see that although we all worked from the same painting the results were quite different
Response from Louise Burdett Art:Thanks so much Maggie - glad you enjoyed the colour work and the workshop in general. Hope to see you again soon. x
Louise had gone to great lengths to ensure a safe environment with ample space and fresh air.
The course itself was very well run; with small class numbers I felt that we all had the attention that we needed, and it was great to see so many people produce complete paintings under Louise's tuition. Although we used her original painting to work from, each one had it's subtle differences.
Response from Louise Burdett Art:Thanks so much Tina - it was a pleasure to spend the day with you. Hope to see you again. x
