I am a local girl and was hoping along with 4 other friends to attend one of Jill's courses but Covid struck but I did eventually spend a great day myself with Jill last November. It was a pleasure to paint alongside her, I have painted on and off for a few years but it was refreshing to use different brushes and techniques.
Lunch was lovely (don't forget to let me have your soup recipe) and good company. Thank you Jill for a great day, you will see me again and you have got me interested in painting again. I would say to anyone who has painted or not painted in their life to visit Jill, see her studio and share her talent. Heather x
Jill’s course was recommended by a friend and although Pembrokeshire is a long way from where I live I was happy to go .. me for the first time ( but hopefully not last) and my friend on a return visit. Jill shared her knowledge of acrylic painting with such enthusiasm and encouragement that I surprised myself ( and family and friends) with the paintings I produced at the end of the course.
Jill’s warmth and friendship ( not forgetting the great lunches of course! ) all made the 4 day course so enjoyable . I would highly recommend this course.
Response from Jill Jones Fine Art:Hi Jan,
Before holidaying in Pembrokeshire (again!) I spoke to a friend who lives there and, knowing that I am an 'aspiring' artist (of no great note!) she suggested I consider Jill's 'Art Your Way' painting class. So, I booked a full day and can honestly say it was one of my better decisions. I would thoroughly recommend the course which will now be a regular event for me whenever I venture to West Wales!
Response from Jill Jones Fine Art:Hello Daniel,
I attended the 'Art your way' course because I needed some impetus to get me back painting again! It worked! I had lost confidence in my (limited) ability as a painter but a day with Jill helped me tremendously. Her good humour and ability to impart her great artistic knowledge to others made the experience fun and, above all, instructive. I hope to be back to further improve my artistic efforts.
Response from Jill Jones Fine Art:Glynne,
Being an enthusiastic beginner I was looking for a course to develop my passion for painting landscape and seascapes. I searched the internet and came across Jill’s site which appealed to me, even though it meant travelling quite a distance from where I live. I was not disappointed with my choice. Jill is an enthusiastic and cheerful tutor who instilled in me so much confidence that I was immediately producing paintings that I never thought I would have been able to achieve. This would not have been possible without Jill’s expert, calming and friendly influence. Jill’s teaching is first class, you learn about adding detail through simple brush work. If I had not discovered Jill’s course it is probable that I would not be painting now and enjoying my new hobby. I will certainly be returning for another four day course in 2022.
Response from Jill Jones Fine Art:Wow! Thanks Jean!
This was my first experience of attending a painting class and I really enjoyed it. I have painted a little in my time but Jill's experience and great ability to impart this to others in a friendly, imformative and practical way was invaluable. I will be back!
Response from Jill Jones Fine Art:Bill, you were a total star!
I did this course in the summer of 2021 and it was so enjoyable that I later did the full day course with Jill. As a 'taster' painting class this is an excellent introduction to basic techniques. Very much recommended.
Response from Jill Jones Fine Art:Hello Nerys,
Having only ever used Watercolour as a media I was looking at trying Acrylic.
On my arrival, I was made most welcome. From the start to the finish of the course I was given great tuition, learning different techniques of Acrylic painting, in an easy laidback informative manner.
If anyone is interested in painting and is looking for tuition look no further.
Response from Jill Jones Fine Art:Thanks Gordon!
I attended Jill's 'Art your Way' full day course in the autumn of 2021 and was delighted with the experience. I could paint a little before the course but Jill's full-on, one-to-one attention and good humour helped me enormously to improve my painting technique. I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone looking to imorove their painting skills in a friendly, opem-minded environment.
Response from Jill Jones Fine Art:Hi Nerys,
