Alcohol Ink Painting Techniques - Full Day. Discover the art of alcohol ink in this introductory workshop. This course is a really fun day of exploration of alcohol ink techniques, working on a variety of non porous surfaces, papers and a 4''x 4'' Ceramic tile. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you will be guided by Barbara who is an experienced teacher. She will demonstrate many techniques on how to create unique artworks using alcohol inks and alternative materials with many tips and tricks in how to control this loose and spontaneous medium. What will I learn? All about the various materials Abstract mark making techniques You will create 4 different technique samples to see which one you like the most, then create a larger A4 size individual piece of unique artwork. Also paint one 4''x4'' ceramic tile -Abstract Talk on safety procedures, please bring a light face covering with you. No Knowledge Required This workshop is appropriate for beginners to some experience. Participants must be over the age of 18 or over the age of 13-years-old and accompanied by an adult. What to bring: You will be asked to wear a mask at certain points during this workshop i.e. when using a hair dryer. An apron or old shirt to protect your clothes. Barbara from Feltworld Creative Arts is a multimedia artist, her art work is usually vibrant and colourful although she will teach you using more subtle colourways as well. With 25yrs experience in art & design, she has a wealth of knowledge in the following: *Wet felting & Needle Felting *Batik painting- drawing with hot beeswax on cotton material & painting with fabric dyes. *Alcohol Ink painting is amazing fun too. * Gelli Plate Art
