"Had an absolutely fab day at the stunning Boho Shed based in Grappenhall Heys Walled Garden today learning how to make a footstool. Jo made us all feel very welcome and put us at ease straight away. She is very patient and explained everything in a clear and easy to follow way. She explained everything from the choice of fabrics through to the materials needed and tools we would be using. Everything was there ready for us to all create wonderful and individual footstools and I think it is safe to say every one of us left there happy. Chris Charlton reviewed: Mastering Pen Making.

"What a wonderful experience. Having enjoyed a lifetime of tinkering with bits of wood, Derek’s pen making workshop was my first proper experience of woodturning since a 2 minute introduction to a lathe at school some 50 years ago. Derek was a patient tutor who adapted quickly to my hands on style of learning. He gave good clear instructions and demonstrations before it was my time to have a go. He guided me through the process step by step, allowing me to take the lead for much of the time but occasionally stepping in with advice when the need arose. The results, a rollerball one piece and a two piece fountain pen are amazing mementos to take away. Thank you for an amazing day Derek. In addition, the craft centre is also a lovely setting with a super craft shop and cafe that serves very tasty lunches. Great day. Thank you"

"This course was even more enjoyable than I expected. It was the first time I had done a course like this so wasn’t sure what to expect but it was so much fun. All materials provided and all in a lovely room upstairs at Megan’s. Jen was a very patient teacher and took the time to check everybody was getting it and gave tips on how to improve. We came away all having gotten a little bit better than at the start and having lettered a couple of pieces ourselves. Highly recommended 3 hours on a Saturday afternoon- the time whizzes by!"

"That's lovely to hear Emma - thank you, I'm so glad it went above and beyond what you were already expecting to enjoy :) It was a pleasure to meet, and teach you, and it was lovely to see your calligraphy develop with more confidence throughout the afternoon!"
