Robert Sproul-Cran reviewed: A stool making day

"I really needed a break from the routine - to reconnect my brain with my hands. The atmosphere was supportive and very much tailored to individual ability and experience. I felt that I learned so much, and know that future efforts will benefit from that practical experience. I'm very proud of the chair that I made, and will haunt my family forever to make sure that it's handed down through the generations."

Debbi Reay reviewed: Enamelled jewellery for beginners and improvers - fired glass jewellery techniques

"I am a very crafty person and love mosaics, ceramics and many more. I have just added another craft to my repertoire. Toni's enamelling for beginners course is fantastic. I made 3 lovely pieces today that I can now make into necklaces. Excellent tuition and not at all confusing. 100% recommend you try it. Thank you Toni, I'm hooked!"

Kim Litchfield reviewed: Silk painting workshops

"What an interesting and absorbing way to spend a day. I haven't painted since my teens and was surprised how technical, but easy, silk painting is. Really enjoyed my day and have been back twice to explore this medium. Lovely lunch, relaxed atmosphere, very informative and free to experiment. Excellent."

Sue Wardale reviewed: Basket making in Norfolk

"I have just enjoyed my third basket making day with Julie, I just keep coming back. Julie is a really patient and calm teacher, with just a small number of students she is able to support each of us individually. Each stage of the basket is clearly demonstrated and there is plenty of time to relax and enjoy the craft. On my third workshop I have made a lovely shopping basket - Julie encouraged me to just keep on weaving and make it happen. The home made cakes are fantastic but it would be wrong of me to suggest that this is a reason to come to Julie's workshops!!!!!!"

Morris Davies reviewed: Blacksmith Experience Day - North Norfolk

"Had a great day learning a new skill. Roger and James were really helpful and supportive ( I think what I wanted to make was a bit too ambitious) and had a lot of patience. I had no idea that such a day would be so instructive and great fun. Highly recommended; you will not be disappointed."

Kirstie shearer reviewed: Tapestry weaving workshop for beginners

"A year on and I went back for more! I spent a wonderfully engrossing day in good company and with excellent food (thank you Graham) what more could you ask for? I was late and the welcome was as warm as ever. We warped up and began to tackle our project 'Kilim'. It is amazing how everyones work differs and the colours were wonderful. I came home with a framed piece of work - Jane now has frames on site - so todays task is to hang it in my growing gallery of Tapestry Weaving. You leave immensely proud of your achievment and there are strange feelings of addiction for a very achievable craft! Now when can I rebook?"

Angie Morris reviewed: Enamelling on copper

"My friend & I has a wonderful day with Dilys we didn't want it to end. We were made so welcome, gained a wealth of knowledge and came away feeling inspired and wanting to continue learning more about enamelling. I would recommend to anyone considering taking up enamelling or just wishing to learn a new skill to do a course with Dilys, she is an excellent, patient teacher. I can't wait till I return to the UK again in July so I can have another day motivational day with Dilys."

Michael reviewed: Wood carving and Love Spoons

"I have been attending Sharon's courses for 12 years, she is the most professional tutor you could wish for, she has the ability to see the end product of your carving at the earliest stages of that block of timber that you start with, If you want to achieve good quality carvings whilst having a enjoyable relaxing course in a great atmosphere with lovely people attending this is the place to be, Try and see some of her own personal carvings then you realise how immensely talented she is. Many thanks Sha for the happy years that I spent with you trying to rise to your standard."

"Sharon is very friendly and approachable and an excellent teacher. She clearly enjoys sharing her skills and experience with both novices and more experienced carvers. H Cocksedge reviewed: Mosaic, One Day Workshop

"Having first seen some of Jane's work at a craft fair, my sister, niece and I were inspired to attended a one-day mosaic workshop at Jane's studio. As none of us had ever done anything like this before, I think we all went feeling slightly nervous - but we needn't have worried! Jane was very welcoming and informative, and gave just the right amount of advice and practical help whilst allowing us to create "masterpieces" which were entirely our own and of which we are very proud! She has also provided some useful follow-up information which will be invaluable when we start on our next pieces at home! (And the lunch was lovely too!!)"

Heather Wilson reviewed: Mosaic, One Day Workshop

"I recently attended Jane's one-day mosaic workshop and had a fantastic time. Jane is extremely knowledgeable about her art, and was easily able to explain and pass on her skills. I managed, with her expert guidance, to produce a glass mosaic picture of which I am extremely proud. A lovely lunch was provided as part of the experience. I'm hoping to continue to use my newly acquired skills."

"I recently attended a one-day mosaic course at Jane Visick's studio. Not being of an artistic bent I really didn't know what to expect. However Jane was very hospitable and knowledgeable about her subject and I was agreeable surprised with the cockerel plaque I produced. I learnt a lot and am now looking forward to making more mosaics at home. Thanks, Jane."

Vix reviewed: Pottery throwing course in the South Downs National Park (one day - one-to-one)

"My friend and I attended a two day weekend course. We loved the fact that we were on the wheel and throwing pots within ten minutes of starting the course. Rowena provided helpful advice but was keen for us to have a go on our own which was great. Her patience and lovely sense of humour were greatly appreciated! The two day course was full and varied but adaptable if you had a particular interest. Rowena's enthusiasm and happy personality made for an interesting and relaxed course. Thank you!"

Emily Miller reviewed: An Introduction to Glassblowing: Half-day Saturday courses

"This is something I've always wanted to try so when I received it as a gift I was very excited! The class size was small (only 3 of us) which meant that we had ample time from Adam to help us create our 3 pieces each. Adam and his staff were friendly and allowed us to be as creative as we'd like. He also gave us demonstrations on making more advanced pieces which was great to see! I will definitely be doing this again! Thanks Adam!"

Cheryl Farnum reviewed: One day introductory course to candle making

"As a first timer who has started 1 month ago doing this myself in advance to attending the course, Sakeena with her font of knowledge, history and experience of candlemaking, made me feel fully confident that I am heading in the right direction and chosen the right skill that will continue to enhance my creativity. The workshop was a very informative in a friendly environment, every question I posed was answered and clarified. Overall a fun workshop, which I will gladly encourage others to attend."

Catherine reviewed: Enamelled jewellery for beginners and improvers - fired glass jewellery techniques

"I have had a lesson with Toni and found it very worth while. Toni taught me the basics of enamelling onto copper and I was able to complete three pieces before the end of the lesson. Toni had lots of materials, enamel powders and decorative items (glass beads etc...) that I was able to choose from. I would defiantly recommend, it was great value and Toni is a great teacher."
