Steph Emmerich reviewed: Advanced throwing masterclass with David Frith

"A wonderful two days, I really felt I had advanced greatly. David Frith demonstrated a variety of technics and I had the opportunity to practice them with help where needed. As a near beginner David supported where appropriate and mademe feel I could do it! The Staff were great and very helpful. The only negative I feel was the lunch, which was basic.... perhaps everyone bringing their own might work? Thank You."

Peter Jenkins reviewed: Wood carving and Love Spoons

"I have known Sharon for many years and have witnessed her work with both admiration and great pleasure. She has always had the highest of standards in mind and this, obvious from the carvings produced by her. So much so that I had to join her class some years ago, hoping some of that excellence would rub off on me. (I'm still trying). She has a wonderful way of communicating with her students and only too willing to pass on her knowledge. The commissions she undertakes are of a finished standard unequalled and are shown to us the privileged, not to demean us but encourage us as to what can be achieved. Sharon is without question an excellent tutor and should anyone be looking for a new experience, hobby, etc., they would do well to consider attending one of her classes, weekend courses or demonstrations, they are a perfect joy."

"Want to try something different? Look no further than a wood carving experience with Sharon LIttley. .I have been attending her classes for the past 3years, carving Love Spoons for my family.Sharon is a friendly, approachable and talented artistic tutor who can transform your ideas in order to achieve your own personalised masterpiece. Examples of her own commission work continue to amaze all her students. She is based in South Wales, but runs courses in many G.B. and Worldwide locations. An excellent 5* tutor."

keith reviewed: Longbow making - two days

"what a great two days, its hard work in a way, but once you have the bow in your hand and you are shooting it everything goes by the wayside, and if you have any problems they help you in a way that you feel that you have not done anything wrong, also you seem to learn a bit of history about archery would I do it again YES"

David Kerr reviewed: A stool making day

"Very good course, excellent tutors who did not interfere but were always available. Health and safety on a course using sharp tools is very important and the tutors managed their obligations well without being overly fussy. Could recommend chair making to anyone who likes wood and working with their hands and brains."

Robert Sproul-Cran reviewed: A stool making day

"I really needed a break from the routine - to reconnect my brain with my hands. The atmosphere was supportive and very much tailored to individual ability and experience. I felt that I learned so much, and know that future efforts will benefit from that practical experience. I'm very proud of the chair that I made, and will haunt my family forever to make sure that it's handed down through the generations."

"I am a very crafty person and love mosaics, ceramics and many more. I have just added another craft to my repertoire. Toni's enamelling for beginners course is fantastic. Kim Litchfield reviewed: Silk painting workshops

"What an interesting and absorbing way to spend a day. I haven't painted since my teens and was surprised how technical, but easy, silk painting is. Really enjoyed my day and have been back twice to explore this medium. Lovely lunch, relaxed atmosphere, very informative and free to experiment. Excellent."

Sue Wardale reviewed: Basket making in Norfolk

"I have just enjoyed my third basket making day with Julie, I just keep coming back. Julie is a really patient and calm teacher, with just a small number of students she is able to support each of us individually. Each stage of the basket is clearly demonstrated and there is plenty of time to relax and enjoy the craft. On my third workshop I have made a lovely shopping basket - Julie encouraged me to just keep on weaving and make it happen. The home made cakes are fantastic but it would be wrong of me to suggest that this is a reason to come to Julie's workshops!!!!!!"

Morris Davies reviewed: Blacksmith Experience Day - North Norfolk

"Had a great day learning a new skill. Roger and James were really helpful and supportive ( I think what I wanted to make was a bit too ambitious) and had a lot of patience. I had no idea that such a day would be so instructive and great fun. Highly recommended; you will not be disappointed."

Kirstie shearer reviewed: Tapestry weaving workshop for beginners

"A year on and I went back for more! I spent a wonderfully engrossing day in good company and with excellent food (thank you Graham) what more could you ask for? I was late and the welcome was as warm as ever. We warped up and began to tackle our project 'Kilim'. It is amazing how everyones work differs and the colours were wonderful. I came home with a framed piece of work - Jane now has frames on site - so todays task is to hang it in my growing gallery of Tapestry Weaving. You leave immensely proud of your achievment and there are strange feelings of addiction for a very achievable craft! Now when can I rebook?"

We were made so welcome, gained a wealth of knowledge and came away feeling inspired and wanting to continue learning more about enamelling. I would recommend to anyone considering taking up enamelling or just wishing to learn a new skill to do a course with Dilys, she is an excellent, patient teacher. I can't wait till I return to the UK again in July so I can have another day motivational day with Dilys."
