Steve Clarke reviewed: Woodturning in Devon with Colin Simpson

"What a great couple of days. I was really tired at the end of the second day (and the first, truth be told), but only because I'd had to focus on one thing, and that was what Colin was telling me. I made a few mistakes, especially towards the end of the second day, feeling a bit cocky I suppose. As a teacher Colin cannot be faulted, I've read some of the previous reviews and don't want to waste our time repeating them. 5 stars deserved."

Bev Griffiths reviewed: Full day introduction to glass fusing course.

"What an amazing day we had at the Pink Glass House Studio ! Amanda was a delight to have as our teacher, her enthusiasm for her craft is infectious. She immediately put us all at ease as complete novices and explained how the day would pan out whilst keeping us safe to boot! We had great fun creating from scratch our Cheese boards and working through the process. We then stopped for what can only be described as amazing lunch, Amanda is a truly fantastic cook with lovely sweet treats to tempt us. We then began our coloured creations scoring and cutting as we went, mixing all manner of coloured glass. This has been a truly wonderful day and I am absolutely delighted with my creations I never expected to come a way with two such lovely pieces. Thankyou Amanda for the experience I look forward to returning very soon."

Krieanna linacre reviewed: One to one pottery throwing class in Worksop

"I took my 11 yr old daughter for her first pottery class with Harriet recently, she absolutely loved it! Harriet recommended a 1 hr class due to her age and concentration levels and it was just right for her. Harriet was really patient and great at guiding her, she made 3 pots and will be going back to paint them. A great experience for anyone and a really good teacher, thankyou so much!!"

James reviewed: One to one pottery throwing class in Worksop

"I was one of the first people to try out this class and I was really impressed. My mum and I went together, and Harriet had plenty of time and patience for us both. Her tuition was very helpful. We left later that afternoon feeling proud of what we accomplished and a couple of weeks later we went and collected our finished pieces after they were fired in the kiln. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to give pottery a go."

Joan reviewed: Tapestry weaving workshop for beginners

"The course exceeded my expectations! Jane is a wonderful teacher who is massively attentive, encouraging everyone, whatever their level of experience or inexperience, in a gentle and fun way. She ensured that we all came away with a completed project- not easy to do and it felt really rewarding . Her studio is an amazing space full of glorious materials to choose from and books to browse. And she sustained us with really tasty food which her husband served very graciously. Great day out with friends or on your own. I’ll be back!"

Sue shields reviewed: Pottery wheel throwing and hand building full day

"I loved this workshop and can say it’s the best tuition for throwing a pot I’ve had. Richard is very visual In his teaching, clearly demonstrating with his hands how to use them as effective pottery tools. This for me was so helpful and I left the class having learnt something’s very valuable about pottery and it’s potential. The chat and lunch was great too, thoroughly recommend this to everyone."

Potterydayz responded:

"Delighted you and your daughter enjoyed the day-was a pleasure to do some potting with you. See you again I hope"

John Brough reviewed: Learn to carve wooden spoons, beginners and improvers

"Dave provided clear and easy to follow advice along with simple demonstrations. When required he helped on a one to one basis. The group was inevitably of mixed experience and he handled the different abilities easily. Additionally he created a lovely mood within the group and the location was simply beautiful. He gave clear safety instructions and he followed up the course with further help and advice by email. I would reccomend his course to everyone."

Maureen Ashkar reviewed: Make a silver ring or bangle

"I experienced a day with Lucy that delivered the skills and knowledge required to make items that are unique and of a good standard. Lucy as a tutor is so knowledgeable and demonstrates skills of excellent silver smith work and ensured as a learner that I understood all aspects of my project so I could carry out those skills safely. I went with a definite idea of what I wanted to make and Lucy took me through it all calmly and explained so much of the process. I would recommend her courses to anyone just wanting to have a go at jewellry making and to the more experienced who want to widen their repertoire. Thank you Lucy it was a fantastic day and I love my silver bangle and ring. X"

Anna Ricketts reviewed: A one day spoon carving course

"What a wonderful day - Sharif explained everything so clearly, and there were lots of examples for inspiration. Carving a spoon was the perfect way to learn about selecting the wood, safe ways to use an axe, a wood carving knife, and a curved knife, as well as how to sharpen them. This was all done in simple stages, with Sharif keeping a close eye on everyone, and helping us all in turn. Highly recommended. ?"

Gillian Bathe reviewed: One day stained glass classes by Le Breton Traditional

"Matthew le Bretton's traditional and Tiffany stained glass course was all it promised. He takes care to have prior notice of individual plans and so he welcomes us with suitable equipment and materials. He is well aware of H&S issues and has protective equipment and gives good instruction, The gradual progress and demonstration means that we can all move forward confidently without overload. He is well supported by Nina, assistant, so that there is always someone to hand to help and remind us. The regular monthly Sundays give scope for larger projects and investigation and I expect to be a regular attender to these workshops so conveniently located (for me) in Bradninch. What a marvellous discovery.I have been to several stained glass workshops in my quest for skills and to find one so excellent and close to home is a gift indeed!"
