"I spent a fabulous Sunday creating a felt cushion cover at her Felt making workshop, I was amazed how it happened, something magical starting with wool fibres and finishing up with a whole cover. Raya was so attentive and intuitive in helping me get the finished look I wanted and I could feel her enthusiasm at my enjoyment of the day - am looking forward to my next lesson - so much to learn - thank you Raya"

Laura Dunn reviewed: Introduction to candle-making as a business

"HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! What a wonderful way to spend a day, Jo's workshop was amazing.... her products and knowledge are second to none. The whole experience was relaxed and an utter delight.... I left with a huge stash of candles that i had made under Jo's guidance that look and smell fantastic. I'm hooked on candle making now and would jump at the chance to attend any other workshops the white candle company hold in the future. Thank you Jo xxx"

Mark Webster reviewed: Woodcarving for beginners - two day course in Suffolk

"I recently attended Gerry’s 2 day course for beginners and can thoroughly recommend it for anyone who is thinking about having a go at wood carving. Gerry is clearly a talented master craftsman and teaches through a mix of demonstrating techniques to the class as well as giving practical support, guidance and encouraging feedback on a 1:1 basis. He creates a positive, relaxed environment for learning and has plenty of humorous anecdotes from his long carving career. The lunch, prepared by Gerry’s wife, (including wonderful homemade soup) and other refreshments were excellent. Overall a really enjoyable weekend of learning a new skill."

Charlton Rob reviewed: Introduction to green woodworking - make a stool or small table

"This was a really good day and such an excellent setting in the woods. The tutors were very good and able to impart plenty of knowledge and help. It was great fun making something by hand and using different tools. I would recommend this course to anyone and you are all capable of making something. My lovely stool will be very useful in my shepherds hut and just the thing. A great couple of days."

Sam reviewed: Green woodworking at Coppicewood College

"An excellent course, highly recommended for all those interested in green wood working. I managed to make a wide variety of objects (a stool, potato mashers, a rolling pin, several spoons and half a bowl) over the four days and was ablely supported and enthused throughout by Nick, Dave and Claire. I made good use of the wide variety of pole lathes, shave horses and other devices throughout and had a vast array of tools to experiment with. To say I learned a great deal is an understatement. I partook in this as part of the 6 month woodland skills course also offered by Coppicewood College. If you're looking to gain experience in the whole range of coppicing skills and related crafts then I don't think there's a better course than this!"

Gill Reid-Walker reviewed: Needle felting workshop - Create your own woodland creature

"Thoroughly enjoyed my day, from beginning to end, and I adore my little felted Badger too. The venue and lunch (and the cake!) were excellent, but most of all Denise was so encouraging and patient, and has completely inspired me to do more needle felting, so I’m hoping to put my Crafty Gal Kit to good use soon. Thanks again ?"

Crafty Gal responded:

"I'm delighted you're delighted Gilly! It was a fun day and such a pleasure to help add yet another fantastic craft to your amazing repertoire! Happy crafting!"

Lynne Gilbert reviewed: Christmas Pudding - needle felting workshop with The Lady Moth

"The recent owl workshop was a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Although it was the third I have attended (and hopefully not the last!) there is always something new to learn. Zenia is a very talented artist and her work is really inspiring. She is a natural teacher, always striving to help us achieve good results. The sessions are friendly and relaxed and time just flies by. Try one - you won't be disappointed!"

Lauren reviewed: Friday mosaic making

"Workshop was a great introduction to creating mosaics. Was a relaxed atmosphere with Audrey and mum helpful and supportive. When we arrived we were greeted and introduced and were welcomed with a cuppa and biscuits. Mosaics and template choices were laid out and advice given by Audrey about what we wanted to make. I had only booked 2 hours. I could have easily spent all day. I didn't finish my creation but I was supplied with tiles and grout to take home and finish. Class was enjoyable and very satisfying. Can't wait to do more. Would highly recommend."

Montet Designs responded:

"Hi Lauren, thanks for your lovely feedback, it was great to have you part of the class. And thanks for sending a photo of your fab mosaic door number, it looks great! I look forward to hopefully seeing you at another class soon. Audrey x"

"Hard work but well worth the effort!! I'm so pleased with the end result, and to have made something three dimensional! As ever Gaelle has the patience of a saint; as I was the last person on the course to complete the basket she helped me to stay focused and not give up! Can't wait for the next course...."

Marianne R reviewed: Green Man stone carving in Yorkshire

"Thoroughly enjoyed this 2 day course. Was amazed that over the two days, with no previous experience, I progressed from having a block of stone in front of me to taking home a Green Man that I am proud to put in the garden. Helen and John are excellent, patient tutors and the association overall is a friendly and welcoming place. Thanks for your support & advice, if I lived closer to Halifax I'd be back for your longer courses!"

Steve Clarke reviewed: Woodturning in Devon with Colin Simpson

"What a great couple of days. I was really tired at the end of the second day (and the first, truth be told), but only because I'd had to focus on one thing, and that was what Colin was telling me. I made a few mistakes, especially towards the end of the second day, feeling a bit cocky I suppose. As a teacher Colin cannot be faulted, I've read some of the previous reviews and don't want to waste our time repeating them. 5 stars deserved."
