Leona reviewed: One to one pottery throwing class in Worksop

"Would highly recommend Harriet's one to one course! Myself and my gf visited recently, had never really had a proper go of pottery since High School and found Harriet to be incredibly friendly and patient with us. We'll both be going back to pick up some glazed pieces we've made! The only feedback we'd give is to offer somewhere/clean water to wash our hands after the class. Thanks again Harriet! :)"

Tom reviewed: Bladesmithing experience day

"My second vist to Steve's White Tiger Knives forge was just as brilliant as my first, if not more. Steves passion about knife making and skill shined through effortlessly without faltering throughout the long day in the shop. I tipped up for the one day course with my own design, a wood carving knife based on a Scandinavian puukko design. Not Steve's prefered choice of knife but with complete professionalism, enthusiasm and buckets full of banter he assisted me and coached me in completing my design. The end result being a working functional wood carving knife that I absolutely love. Thank you steve!"

White Tiger Knives responded:

"Hi Tom Thank you for your kind words and I'm totally chuffed that you like your man blade that much. You worked damn hard to complete that little beauty in one day and I think nine and a half hours from start to finish for a hidden tang blade of your own design was really good going. Keep her sharp and I look forward to seeing what you make with her. Kind regards Steve"

Anne reviewed: A Dry Stone Walling Workshop Bedfordshire

"My husband and I attended the workshop run by John on 10th Aug. We had a thoroughly enjoyable day and gained great insights into techniques used to build dry stone walls. John is a great instructor and very patient with absolute novices. There’s a good balance of checking/making sure you are on track and being left alone to work it out for yourself. Very therapeutic! I would actually like to go back to do a 2nd day to try building different part to the wall e.g. foundations stones. Thanks for a memorable day."

London School of Dry Stone Walling responded:

"Hello Anne - Thank you for your feedback. I am pleased you felt the benefit of 'being left alone' to put one over two or two over one. There is much to learn and you achieved completing a good section of the wall, juggling with the stone and following the line !! The next section is under preparation, more trench digging ready for foundations, to carry on building into where we finished the raking back!! You would be welcome to return, at any time. Take Care, Best Wishes, John"
