Jo Reader reviewed: Realistic and Adorable Needle Felt Animals & Pets

"My course was a Christmas present from my husband and was a treat from start to finish. The group is small enough for guests to have individual tuition where required and the workroom is very comfortable and self contained I hadn't got a specific project in mind so having examples available was really inspiring. Add in generous refreshments and lovely people and you have a winning combination. Sophie herself is delightful and really patient with those of us who were beginners. A number of guests were return visitors -in it's self a great advert for the course. I will hopefully join their ranks in the near future. Thanks Sophie!"

"Maddie’s full day workshop is a fantastic introduction to mosaic art. The class size today was small so Maddie was able to give us all individual attention and help . The workshop is a beautiful space in a beautiful place and is full of inspirational pieces of art. Maddie shares her knowledge and love of mosaics generously and is a very warm and friendly person with an encouraging teaching style. Don’t delay , book a mosaics workshop today ?. You won’t regret it!"

J Northen reviewed: Bring Your Own Upholstery Project - Block of 5 days

"i cannot recommend Sarah & her courses highly enough. Sarah is a patient and nurturing teacher. I was very nervous as I had no knowledge of upholstery. I was so pleased with the results and never thought I could produce a chair and footstool with such a professional finish. Sarah’s knowledge and ability to instruct in a way you can understand is excellent. I’ve learnt so much and have booked my 3rd course in August. Look forward to seeing you in the summer to make ‘coir clouds’, Jx"

Jo s reviewed: Fused glass day course - beginners/intermediate

"What a great way to spend the day. Nicky gently encourages your creativity to flow and explains different techniques in an easy way. She was very patient with us and the four of us came away with equally pleasing but very different pieces of art. With the backdrop of an idyllic location there is nothing not to like about this. We all came away wanting to do more. Thanks Nicky."

Mike Arthur reviewed: Full day introduction to glass fusing course.

"I cannot recommend this course highly enough! Amanda is a fantastic teacher and gets the perfect balance between allowing your own creativity (with plenty of sources of inspiration and resources for those who feel they are 'not artistic') and providing expert support for realising your ideas in glass. She also takes safety seriously, but this is done in a gentle way which does not inhibit the process. The food provided is also stunning (in a previous career she was a chef, it turns out!) and I really enjoyed the company of fellow students (and watching their own creations being made) and Amanda, who clearly had an infectious knowledge and enthusiasm for her art. Have no hesitation in booking on this course - you will be delighted with the day and the outcome of your efforts! I am already looking forwards to planning my next course there."

Matt Wood reviewed: Hand forged rustic knife course

"I was bought this course as a present after getting into Forged in Fire (I know....). The course was absolutely brilliant, really insightful and the actual way to make a knife, not just what you see on TV, Andy even joked that you don't get to see the boring bits but even those bits were insightful. Andy had a apprentice/ friend there at the time and the mentoring received was great. Both were clear and direct with their instructions, patient and even corrected some of the minor (or major, if you don't listen) mistakes. The day flew and at the end myself and missus had made a knife each that we were both proud of. Highly recommend the course and I will be going back to do other courses. Well worth it."

Sharon reviewed: Introduction to candle-making as a business

"Myself and my boyfriend spent a lovely afternoon with Jo. Being complete novices, Jo guided us through the candle making process. We came away with a selection of gorgeous smelling candles, melts and hangings. It was great fun - Mick decided he was going to mix up the scents and surprisingly they smelt fantastic. Jo also treated to a lovely lunch and copious amounts of tea and donuts too! We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend."

Barbara Brodsky reviewed: Traditional Saddle Stitching with Armitage Leather

"Took Nigel's exceptional course on Saddle Stitching. Made such great progress in speed and quality of my stitching. Have a stronger understanding of the process, the extent of the various tools and thread choices, and what results are possible with so many variables. Could not be more pleased. I left the class very motivated to do hand stitching. I'm certain the sewing machines in my studio are going to feel my absence."

Emily Kasher-Kell reviewed: Silverclay beginners jewellery workshop in Newcastle upon Tyne

"Claire was lovely and so informative for it being a beginners class I felt like I gained much more in depth knowledge than I thought I was going to get. Claire went through the process in a methodical easy informative way and I instantly felt at ease. She had lots of pieces to show different techniques to try yourself and a wealth of knowledge to go with this. She supplied me with enough sanding/polishing papers to get my pendants looking lovely at home. She also supplied me with some paper copies of all the information we had discussed and where I could purchase supplies. I would recommend Claire’s classes to any of my friends and family. X"

ToDot Handcrafted Goods responded:

"It was a lovely morning Emily and good to meet you. So glad you plan to make more pieces after today's workshop. Thank you !"

Tracie Coote reviewed: Bespoke candle making workshop - Edinburgh

"My husband bought me this as a gift for Christmas, as I love candles and think I have tried so many different makes. Kerrylyn was a great teacher, made me feel very welcome, and the setting in her lovely farmhouse kitchen was devine. She had great knowledge of candle making and a vast array of fragrance and essential oils that can be used in your candle making experience. I would definitely recommend this course and hope to return in October for the Christmas candle making workshop with my daughter."
