About the Course
The course is run by full-time blacksmith and experienced teacher David Stephenson. Forging skills are largely learned by experience so the course is very hands-on.
During the morning we work on a range of forging skills, including tapering, controlled bending, punching, twisting, and riveting. We work on real projects so that students have a range of small completed items to take home.
After lunch we work on a more ambitious project, developing the skills covered during the morning and extending into splitting and possibly fire welding.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
