'Strike while the iron's hot' and get sweaty behind a roaring fire to sound of ringing anvils .....
We have a spacious purpose built workshop with its own snack room and bathroom. We offer a wide range of experience days to cater for groups up to twelve, of any ability and will provide tutors to fit your group size so whether you want to come on your own, with a loved one, or as a larger group such as a stag or hen do or team building with colleagues, then get in touch. Some of the items we aim to make are- Coat hooks, toasting folks, fire pokers, chestnut roasters, door knockers, curtain poles are just a few to mention and this is discussed at the time of booking.
Whilst experiencing an exciting ancient tradition you will have loads of fun and most importantly a masterpiece made by yourself to proudly take home. We also offer further experience days for those that wish to broaden their skills further. PPE will be provided along with a warming lunch, snacks and drinks all included.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
A warming lunch, all snacks and drinks are all included, along with materials and fuel for the coke fires.

A fab day of tuition from Phil and Jessica. There were lots of new techniques to learn, but everything was very clearly explained and demonstrated with plenty of 1-2-1 attention. I think we all ended up having made something we could be proud of🙂
My son had 2 days at the anvil with Jessica. He throughly enjoyed both days. Jessica explained everything to him really well. Showed my son different techniques to twist, bent and move the iron. My son made a beautiful candle holder, knife, BBQ fork and Neil (a snail). My son can't wait to be back. ( He also loved the lunches provided).
Thank you for an amazing experience :-)
We had an excellent day at Peak Blacksmithing, Jess was a great tutor, showing us the whole process from lighting the forge, using the tools then through the different techniques to make a toasting fork. There was a relaxed atmosphere with Jess not far away to help if needed.
With no previous experience of blacksmithing I thoroughly enjoyed my day and would recommend Peak Blacksmithing to anybody!😃👍
Jess is a highly talented tutor who adapts the teaching to your level of expertise, which in my case is zero! Even if you're not that practical you'll be carefully guided to make something to be proud of and if you are, the world's your oyster as to what she can have you making!
The demonstrations are fascinating of what is an amazing craft.
Had a great experience day and would highly recommend it to anyone!
What a great time I had, my other half booked this experience day for me and it didn't disappoint.
The ability of the teachers astounded me with how easy they made it all look.
The facilities were lovely and the food served was really nice, set in great surroundings to top it off.
I can assure you I'll be booking onto another course in the near future.
Thanks again
Andy
All I can say is wow what a day! My partner and I have wanted to try our hand at blacksmithing for a long time and finally got round to doing it, we made a great choice with this experience day.
