Description

The ultimate blacksmithing experience course, Learn the ancient art of sword making under the tuition of Master Blacksmith William Holland. This 3 day course will cover all of the techniques needed to be able to forge your very own sword.

The three day class is split in to the different stages which include;

Blade geometry, forging and forming

Hilt design and hot forging forging,
Blade grinding and sharpening techniques,
Handle design, material selection and function,
Final assembly,

By the end of the three days you will have covered all of the techniques not just in theory but in practice, with ample time and tuition to turn theory in to reality. Everything required to come away with your very own fully functional sword or battle ready reenactment sword.

Under 18's must be accompanied by a guardian.

This course is best suited to people with some previous experience due to the amount of forging and number of techniques involved to produce your sword, for this reason we strongly recommend coming along to one of our one day classes if you haven't done any smithing before. This will help to ensure that you have the physical strength and capacity to keep up with the other attendees.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
