This is a sketching workshop suitable for all levels as individual support will be given to help you get the most out of the day. Spend the morning having a Tai Chi lesson, then the rest of the day watch others learning and performing the beautiful movements of Tai Chi short form, allowing you to sketch each pose. This course is suitable for all levels as individual support will be given to help you get the most out of the day. The day will be made up of an hour in the morning learning some Tai Chi poses, before a short break. When you return you will have the rest of the day to sketch different people practising Tai Chi poses. You will be able to explore measuring techniques, form, structure and line. While having the opportunity to practise your observational skills as the models move around the studio. Tricia Johnson has been teaching this regular drawing course since 2015, the tutor also teaches daily drawing and painting sessions for the local Adult Education service in West Sussex, where she has been running courses for 20 years. Materials/ information: Please bring your own art materials and drawing board; sketching pencils or charcoal, paper to fit your drawing board . You may also like to use colour mediums (if you have experience with them) - watercolours, inks or pastels. Please request a table top easel before the course starts, or you are more than welcome to bring your own standing easel if you have one. The course is based in the local church hall where a charity cafe is run in the morning for tea and coffee. Please bring your own lunch or you can visit the Co-op only a few doors down the road. Tricia has been an experienced and qualified arts tutor for the past 20 years. She studied Art & Design for three years in the Midlands before moving to the Sussex coast and gaining a Related Arts B.A. (Hons) Degree. Tricia is a working artist across an extensive variety of arts and craft disciplines, who has exhibited at many venues across the South East, nationally and internationally, in addition to regularly teaching adult education and private courses in West Sussex.
