For those of you unable to attend Linda’s course in person we offer the option of joining us online. The Common or Hazel Dormouse (Muscardinus avellanarius) course is a wonderful course for beginners and improvers who might want to learn more of the technique. You can be assured of an artwork to be proud of at the end of this lesson. This short and simple tutorial focuses on the use of embossing techniques with coloured pencil. We invite you to share your outcomes with Linda and of course be in touch if you have any concerns or need help by email for the duration of the course. Coloured pencil is a marvellously versatile medium and it is genuinely an easy medium to master when you have learned the basic techniques. Linda invites you to join her for a series of workshops specifically using Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. What's included in the price?

"I attended a one day coloured pencil workshop with Linda Hampson at the Old Kennels in September 2021. It was a lovely day with teaching taking place in the barn and lunch outside in the gorgeous surroundings. It was obvious that great care had been taken to ensure that everything was Covid safe so the atmosphere was relaxed. I am new to coloured pencils and I learnt so much. The accompanying video is a great idea because you can practice what you learnt at home. I will be attending future workshops in 2022."

"Having taken a couple of Linda's 'in person tutorials', I was delighted that, during lockdowns, I was able to access her video courses - they have kept me going through these strange times, and it is so good to be able to revisit the videos when required. They have also encouraged me to move on to drawing other subjects. The notes, as ever, are excellent and I continue to enjoy my drawing immensely."

"I thoroughly enjoyed this course and definitely recommend it to anyone. I checked the link early and ordered a few pencils in and made sure I had some paper etc. around the house before I sat down to start. I spent a few hours on a rainy Sunday sketching in the company of the lovely tutor via pre-recorded video and I loved it. The course provides written instructions, extra details and the pre-recorded video that you can stop, rewind and re-play as many times as you need. I have never done anything quite like this and I was genuinely pleased with what I produced, even though I didn't think for one minute I would be. If you're not sure, just give it a go!"
