Isabelle Cooper - - #24904
Response from Melindas Mosaics:You were all such a delight to spend the day with, thank you. I loved all your mosaic creations. Hope to see you again.
What a great day!
Linda was very welcoming and showed me some examples of her own work before we stepped out into her workshop, and what a delight that was. It was a treasure trove of colourful tiles, beads, shells, plates, stones and lovely shiny things. Luckily Linda had a folder of mosaic pictures to give me some inspiration and once I had some idea of what to do, she guided me through the process with a relaxed yet informative approach.
Making the mosaic was such fun, and it was most enjoyable being creative with Linda to help me. As the end of the session approached, it was apparent that I had to get a move on in order to complete the mosaic. Linda was very encouraging and helped me to be decisive without telling me what to do.
I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone. Linda has such a wide range of resources and experience. I learnt so much and feel inspired to do more.
And yes I did finish it!
Maggie Lund - - #24187
Response from Melindas Mosaics:Thank you Maggie for your great review. Your mosaic piece was lovely, you must be proud. I do hope you send me a photo of your mosaic when you have grouted it. No rush though :) Do come again x.
This was my first ever crafting workshop of any type, and I had a really enjoyable day. Linda quickly made my friend and I feel at home, and after showing us examples of her work, ran through the basics and a book stuffed full of ideas, and we were off. She has a lovely teaching way, and whilst always on hand if help or advice was wanted, she also left us to work under our own steam.
Although I did not finish my piece on the day, Linda sent me home with a good supply of adhesive, tiles and grout (and good instruction leaflet) so that I can finish it off in my own time at home. I would thoroughly recommend this workshop, and my friend and I had a really different, but lovely day.
Thank you Linda
Sarah Heaton - - #23794
Response from Melindas Mosaics:Sarah it was my absolute pleasure. I am so glad that you enjoyed the day - I did too. I would so love to see a photo when you have finished your outdoor slate mosaic shelf / drinks table for your garden. I know your guests will admire your handiwork it is so full of colour. Definitely a conversation piece. Thank you.
I highly recommend this beginners' course. I have been twice now and will keep on going back! Lynda is a delightful person, very knowledgeable and generous with that knowledge. She is full of ideas and inspiration and encouragement. Her studio is situated perfectly in her lovely garden, full of light and surrounded by the beautiful pieces she herself has made or is currently working on, so you absorb the creative atmosphere as you work, while Lynda gives you all the materials you need, as well as invaluable tips and guidance throughout the day. It is great fun and therapeutic too - I absolutely love it - thank you so much Lynda!
Emma Braid-Taylor - - #18837
Response from Melindas Mosaics:Thank you Emma. You have created three very different and amazing mosaic pieces over the two courses. I am excited to see what you create next time. Looking forward to another enjoyable day with you.
Really fun, informative day learning so much about the art of making mosaics. Lynda is so informative, has completed over 10 years of mosaic artwork, and has a wealth of knowledge which she willingly imparts to her students. I had fun sharing ideas and learning tidbits of information to enhance my new hobby. She has good ideas for repurposing everyday, discarded items in the home, into useful items mosaic tools and supplies, thus saving the mosaicist unneeded costs. She shared all her supplies so that the student could have a good understanding about the whole mosaic process. We worked in a warm, light filled hobby room in her lovely back garden. I highly recommend Lynda's classes !

Great value for money - everything is provided to produce a lovely piece of unique art, and Lynda helps all the way with ideas, inspiration and encouragement. The day rushed by as we worked and chatted! Lovely studio full of supplies - and an opportunity to buy some bits to continue my new hobby at home! Thank you Lynda - this was my first foray into mosaic but I will definitely be back! X

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this course. It was a real tonic. It was exactly what I needed as the last few weeks in my life had been so difficult and I just needed some "me time". I was lost in the making of the mosaics that I forgot my troubles. I felt so refreshed afterwards. Thank you Lynda for giving me such an uplifting experience. Your enthusiasm was contagious.
