Claire reviewed: One day fused glass course at North Norfolk Stained Glass

"We had a wonderful day with Paul and Natalie who were warm and welcoming. Everything was at a relaxed pace, with plentiful offers of refreshments. Paul and Natalie were very informative and supportive throughout. It was lovely to see the creativity working with glass that they both have and sharing their knowledge of the skills involved in fused glass. We love the beautiful fused glass we made and would highly recommend the experience to anyone thinking of doing this. The location is set in the beautiful countryside and well worth a stroll on the public footpaths surrounding the area. Thank you Paul and Natalie!"

Monty reviewed: Bladesmithing experience day

"A well spent two days with Steve. I am not particularly gifted when it comes to DIY or handcrafting of any sort, but Steve put my mind at ease early in the course and provided a good deal of encouragement, together with practical advice. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and was able to craft a knife that I am proud to own and use. Steve has the natural gifts of a good teacher - the ability to asses a student's needs and to provide the support requires for the pupil to make effective progress on his/her own. I am proud to recommend this course to anyone who would like to craft his or her own knife. An excellent course, well designed and effectively managed. Thanks again, Steve."

White Tiger Knives responded:

"Hi Monty Thank you for your review and your assessment of the course you had with me. I really do like the pictures you sent to me of the knife you made earning it's keep working in your kitchen. I thoroughly enjoyed our two days together. ATB Steve"

"A thoroughly enjoyable experience which was enhanced with the very attentive, patient and amusing host Richard. Sharing the afternoon with my 13 year old granddaughter was obviously very special but we had such a great time and found the pottery wheel quite addictive. We are both looking forward to glazing our efforts. Thank you."

"Oh my gosh what an amazing day - I booked myself and my partner onto this course and we have been telling everybody about how much fun it was. David is a really down to earth chap who made the whole experience really enjoyable; his techniques and methods for teaching and explaining the processes really helped cement our learning and we came home with some absolutely gorgeous pieces that with his guidance, we crafted ourselves. Xanthe reviewed: Bespoke Interlined Curtains

"I completed the interlined Roman blind course with Janet recently and it was such an enjoyable, informative day. Janet is a great teacher and generous in her willingness to answer all my questions. Lots of useful tips and techniques that you wouldn't find anywhere else, also she advised me on suppliers and how to make best use of my space at home to set up a workroom. A lovely lunch was also provided. With the detailed instructions and calculator sheet I am excited to start making blinds for my home and for others. It's also reassuring that I can email Janet for any queries that might arise in future. I plan to book more courses with Janet soon."

Charlotte Bickerstaff reviewed: 10 week jewellery making course at the Exmoor Jewellers

"I attended the 10 week jewellers course at the end of last year and I must say that it was excellent. I had previously attended a 1 day ring making workshop with another jeweller and fell in love with silversmithing, so I was keen to pursue my interest. I cannot recommend the 10 week course highly enough, we spent the first 5 weeks learning about different materials, tools and getting to grips with different techniques. We then spent the remaining 5 weeks working on our own projects with the expert tuition and guidance form Manu. Manu is a excellent teacher, he is extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind and is brilliant at building your confidence with everything that you learn on the course. I was really pleased with my final piece and surprised at how professional it turned out! I enjoyed the course so much I am considering enrolling for the next one."
