About the Course
Lino printing is an easy and rewarding art form.
There's nothing more exciting than that 'great reveal' - when your first print is peeled off your lino block! With guidance from artist Laura you'll plan, carve, ink and then print your design over and over again in various ways... At the end of the course you'll be taking home your own printed art in the form of cards, notebooks, gift tags, and prints to frame! You’ll be using the finest papers, both handmade and Japanese to create beautiful art.
On this course Laura will help you with your design and share her know how to enable you to learn a new creative skill, one which you can easily continue at home. You'll also be making new friends, in a relaxed, creative space.
Laura's beautiful art studio is on the first floor of 'The Old Vicarage', a beautiful Victorian property which overlooks Lincoln's award winning arboretum.
If you can't make these weekend dates please make contact with Laura as a week day course can be arranged.

I highly recommend Laura's course to anyone interested in taking up the art of lino cutting. I have read and absolutely endorse all the positive comments made in the previous reviews.
As an absolute beginner I recently spent a most enjoyable day in her studio. Nice company, with an inspiring, patient and knowledgeable teacher. By the end of the day I had been shown and had followed all the processes and produced my own successful lino prints. All set to carry on with a most rewarding and relatively inexpensive hobby.
What more can I add to convince anyone? Oh yes! Laura also provides excellent refreshments.

Put quite simply - the course was inspiring.
The studio is a really tactile and happening space and Laura conveys her expertise in a very natural and engaging way.
There were so many special touches to the day - to list them all would be to spoil the surprise of attending one of Laura's workshops - which I wholeheartedly recommend should anyone reading wish to experience lino cutting and printing.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our linoprinting workshop with Laura. She is a knowledgable and patient teacher and is very encouraging and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed and unhurried and we enjoyed a lovely lunch in her light-filled room overlooking the park. It was a very pleasant day and at the end of it we came away with some amazing prints which look much better than I could have imagined. I am definitely going to carry on doing linoprinting and Laura's expert information about the products to use will be very helpful. This was not just a one-day workshop for me, it was (hopefully) the start of a new and absorbing hobby. The next day at work I felt more relaxed than I have done for ages, and I really believe it was an after effect of the wonderful creative day we'd had. Highly recommended!

I did a lino printing one day workshop with Laura at her studio in Lincoln. Laura makes you feel very welcome and it was a very relaxed day. She was very informative, interesting and encouraging. Together with the information that she emailed as a follow-up I had everything I needed to carry on printing at home which was exactly what I wanted. She provides an excellent lunch and plenty of tea and coffee too!

I thoroughly enjoyed my day with Laura. She is a very clear and patient teacher, and was extremely encouraging, working with all three of us to make sure we managed to achieve what we wanted.
Laura's studio is a lovely space to work in - there is lots of inspiring artwork to look at and the atmosphere is so calm and purposeful that hours go by without you noticing. Lino cutting is definitely absorbing! I hadn't done any lino cutting since I was at school, but Laura's guidance was superb, and I was really pleased with the prints I made.
All in all, a fantastic course which I'd definitely recommend.

Laura offered a safe, supportive space in her studio to explore the basics of Lino printing. Clear, step by step instructions intertwined with plenty of time to 'explore to learn’; sympathetically balanced across the whole day. Highly recommend.
I feel excited about now stepping forth as a beginner printer!

I had a blissful day carving away at the lino and creating a series of prints. Laura is an excellent teacher, really patient and attentive, inspiring us with her artworks and the possibilities of what can be done. Lunch was also nice. I would highly recommend

I had a really enjoyable day with Laura. She was very helpful around arranging dates.
I was not completely confident as this was a whole new area for me, but Laura is an excellent, encouraging teacher and soon helped me get under way. I was really pleased (and a little surprised) by how good my prints looked when done. I didn't think I had the skills to make something so lovely. I have to admit I have caught the bug and will be trying more printing at home.

Such an amazing workshop! Laura was extremely generous with both her knowledge and resources. I left Laura's very happy with all I'd made and felt confident enough to use my new skills independently.

Had a fantastic day tutorial with Laura. The whole process was so much fun. I loved the results of the reveal, but I think the favourite part for me was carving my design on to the block. I have since been gathering ideas for future lino designs x
