Such a fabulous, relaxing day! Sarah is a great teacher, informative and with a wealth of experience to draw from. I learnt such a lot in one day and came away with a beautifully upholstered chair and the desire to do more.
This is a lovely way to spend a Saturday in a calm, creative environment with likeminded people (and with a great lunch too!)

I have never done any upholstery before. I went with my daughter on the 9th Feb she bought the course for me as a gift. I so loved it. Sarah is patient, extremely knowleadgable and funny, and encourages you. I had no idea upholstery was so involved. I was very happy with the result of my endeavours and am booking a second session. Thank you Sarah.

Better than any spa day! Such a relaxing and productive use of time to de-stress, be creative, and physically transform something tired and battered into a beautiful creation. Sarah is patient, clear, funny, a very good teacher who advises but ultimately steps back and lets you create what you want and learn from her expertise. I've booked to go again! Can't wait!

This was my first experience of upholstery and I had a fabulous day learning how to reupholster a chair. Sarah is a wonderful teacher, giving clear, easy to follow instructions. With only 3 people in the class Sarah was able to give individual help. Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided throughout the day and Sarah gave us a delicious lunch too, which gave us time to chat. I would highly recommend this course...it has inspired me to learn more about this craft.

Along with other reviews I have read, Sarah was an excellent tutor of her craft. I thoroughly enjoyed my upholstery session on Saturday. Training environment is perfect and it was good that the class was small allowing plenty of time to explain. Lunch was another another perk allowing time to get to know others on the course. I would recommend this training to anyone think of this as a career or as a relaxing one off session.

Sarah really knows what she is doing! She explains everything in a clear and straightforward way and her instructions make it easy for you to follow. You are made to feel very welcome and the whole day just flys by. An added delight are the excellent cakes and lunches provided by Sarah - delicious. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable and highly productive day which I would definitely recommend.

This was an excellent course, from booking through to waving goodbye as I proudly left with my almost-completed chair. I had never done any upholstery before and was naturally a little unsure of what I was letting myself in for, but Sarah was very clear and reassuring when I contacted her in advance and the day itself exceeded my expectations. She has the ideal qualities for teaching: she seriously knows her stuff and has what seems to be unlimited patience and a calm, unhurried manner. With only 3 in the class there was plenty of time for detailed instruction and help. My 1930s chair is totally transformed - now I just need to give the other 3 in the set the same treatment!

This was our twelfth course through Craft Courses.com and we were not disappointed. A very good day, and from our experience a top tier course. The tuition is excellent and the safety briefing at the start was probably the best we have experienced (we like to come back from our courses with all body parts intact, as we are often using tools we haven't used before). We were able to finish our chair / stool in the day, and that is a sign of a good tutor who takes you through steps in a smoothly. You are definitely doing the tasks yourself, so its all your own work but help is at hand when you get stuck or doing the more twiddly bits. We often find that each craft has its own language and tools that were carefully explained. This time the magnetic tack hammer was our favourite. Catering and lunch in particular was excellent.

I was a complete beginner and a little nervous. Sarah was so welcoming and put me at easy straight away. I was surprised at how much I managed to achieve in one day. I would highly recommend this course and I'm hoping to do the 5 week course in the future. Also had a great lunch.
