Alison Robertson reviewed: Beginners silver clay jewellery class with Anna Campbell

"This entire day was a delight. The working space, in Lynn's home, is gorgeous, and enormous thought and care was taken over every aspect of the experience. Delicious snacks and lunch! The excellent tuition and guidance from Anna helped me make earrings and a rose mould, and I am definitely inspired to do more silver clay. Fantastic value for money, I had a lovely time, thanks so much Lynn and Anna."

The Arienas Collective responded:

"Hello Alison Thanks for this lovely, personal review. We're so glad that you enjoyed your day so much, and were pleased with the fabulous earrings and rose mould you made. Most of all we love that you've been inspired to do more silver clay! I hope to welcome you back soon, and I will make sure Anna has seen this too. :-) With best wishes Lynn"

Rhiannon Norfolk reviewed: Jewellery from reclaimed copper

"Brilliant course! Lesley was very helpful by email when I had questions before booking the course. She'd also sent very useful information before the course to help find the studio and to make sure that we could dress appropriately (especially as the studio is difficult to heat). There were five of us on the course, some of whom had done jewellery making before and others who were new to it. Lesley balanced her teaching so that it was appropriate for all levels of experience. She taught us how to use reclaimed copper wire and pipe to make a bracelet and either a pendant or earrings (some people managed to make both). She explained and demonstrated clearly, kept an eye on each of us and made sure that we were OK with what we were doing. She answered all sorts of questions and gave a lot of helpful hints and tips. I'm delighted with the pieces that I made and hope to do more courses with Lesley in the future."

Ellie reviewed: Blacksmithing experience - spend a day in the forge

"Having been given a voucher Craft Courses voucher for my birthday I could have chosen one of many different experiences to try - I am so glad I chose this one. Richard shares his wealth of experience, teaching without prescribing, giving you the freedom to use your own imagination to create something special to take home. The workshop is full of a wonderful array of machinery and equipment enabling you to try your hand at a wide variety of skills - a real hands-on experience. The day was very well organised with plenty of refreshments and lunch in the local pub, which is a very nice touch. All in all, a brilliant day that I would highly recommend to anyone - go for it - you won’t be disappointed! Thank you very much Richard for a fabulous day."

Joyce Kay reviewed: Level 2 Advanced FURNITURE PAINTING Skills Workshop Intermediate/Advanced (1 Day) - Lancashire

"I would like to thank Jo for a brilliant introduction to furniture painting, I'm not very good at arty things but thought I would give this course a try and see what I could produce. We were provided with written, verbal and practical instruction and Jo was very supportive and helpful at all times. And so, we set about using our new learned techniques to transform our tired old pieces of furniture into some lovely items. The course is held in a large and comfortable room near the cafe where we ate a wonderful afternoon tea. I would recommend this course to anyone who is curious/interested in furniture painting and I am certainly going to try my hand at painting some furniture at home."

The Boho Shed responded:

"Thank you so much for your wonderful review Joyce. It was great that you were part of the day! I am so pleased you will try out your newly learned techniques at home. Please let me see what you produce."

Calligraphy reviewed: Introduction to traditional Calligraphy - foundational hand

"The course was well prepared and delivered with a view to each participant's abilities. There was a good supply of equipment and was well designed for the beginner. The day offered plenty of time for demonstration and practice. One practice, which was very profitable, was to share in each other's work. Interestingly, the group gelled and seemed to see itself as a unit. Encouragement to continue came during the day and in follow-up communication."

Steph Johnson reviewed: Silver Ring Stack - 3 Rings in a Day

"I attended an 'Introduction to Metal Clay, day workshop. It was fabulous! Rachel is an amazing silversmith and a natural teacher. She gave clear information and instruction; modelled what we were expected to do and then let us get on with it, offering one to one guidance and support in a calm, patient and supportive manner. She was encouraging and enthusiastic throughout the day and was able to offer new learning for all the different levels of experience there. The whole day was positive and productive and a lovely creative way to spend time. I can't recommend it highly enough. It has sparked a new hobby for me and I can't wait to attend another class. Kerri reviewed: Silk scarf painting at Hautbois Hall - a one day workshop

"I enjoyed this course so much, every aspect is taken care of to such a high level, not only do the ladies.... who are lovely and a pleasure to spend time with, know their stuff, they pamper you with a wonderful lunch of home made food that is so good and provide tea and cake throughout the day, (I am a celiac and they catered wonderfully for me). The surroundings are beautiful, such a historic building, everything you need is supplied, and when you arrive it’s all set out ready. Something else I noticed that I liked, was that the group they book is small enough to be able to help everyone, they demonstrate everything well and I came away with a lovely finished scarf I am proud of I look forward to more craft class from these ladies, a great team. Thank you for a brilliant day."

Jenny S reviewed: Wet felting expressive landscapes in wools and silks

"What can I say? Had such an enjoyable time in Judi's colourful little studio full of inspiration. I learnt a different sort of felting using carders to mix the colours and turn into fluffy light pieces to lay down. When the water hits them there is almost van Gogh effect in the sky. Judi is so enthusiastic and welcoming. I've now got a painting I'm proud enough of to frame. I can recommend this as an excellent way to spend a morning. Thank you to Judi."

Felting in Devon responded:

"It fills me with joy to read your comments. I'm quite undeserving, really! It's important to me that you have an enjoyable experience and learn a few new techniques. I'm looking forward to seeing you sometime soon. Thank you for taking the time to comment so positively. Judi"

Lianne Butterworth reviewed: Wheel Throwing Pottery Taster Class

"Me and my husband attended this class on 1st Feb 20, and it was excellent! Chris was really informative and patient with us all. We were total beginners. We made two items each on the wheel, and it was so much fun! We both had a great time, and are now considering one of Chris's 8 week courses, when they are next available. We watched Chris make a vase, and you could really tell he had a passion for it. Such a good workshop."
