Helen Collinson reviewed: Introducing winter millinery - evenings - Newcastle NE1

"I am so delighted with the quality of work I have been able to achieve with expert coaching from Margret. The friendly atmosphere in the small group really gets the creative mood going and means participants can bounce ideas of one another about how they intend to decorate their head piece. 1st class course giving participants skills to go on to other projects and become immersed in the world of millinery"

Margaret Woodliff Wright Millinery responded:

"Thank you Helen for your review. It's very fulfilling teaching The Introduction to Millinery course - guiding interested and enthusiastic "newbies" through the basics of millinery. I love watching my students as they grow in confidence and realise that with the support and guidance that my small classes offer they can create headpieces they will proudly wear to their next special event! Now I'm looking forward Helen to seeing the images of you wearing your latest piece - your lovely emerald green trilby! Thanks again - Margaret"

Joan and Paul Hopkin reviewed: Glass fusing with artist Patricia Lee - as seen on BBC1 Home Is Where The Art Is

"We've been on a few of Patricia's courses and we’re looking forward to the next one in eight days time. Patricia has a lovely laid back, calm teaching style and we really enjoy our days in her studio. There’s always a good mix of people with varying skill levels but the guidance given to everyone is the same - positive, helpful and inspirational. The artwork we've produced is great, much admired, and we can’t wait to make more! For foodies, the home made soup and cakes are delicious in winter and the summertime sandwiches and tea in the garden is a relaxing interlude before the next session of creativity. For dog lovers, there's the delightful Scooby who loves a cuddle. The whole experience is brilliant and very highly recommended."

Patricia Lee - All That Glass - Glass Art and Mosaic responded:

"Thank you so much for your lovely review Paul. There's always quite a mix of people on the workshops but everyone just gets on so well together. It doesn't feel like work for me ? It's always a pleasure to see you and Joan and lovely to meet your daughter as well this time. Sneaky though, not telling me it was your birthday until you were leaving. Patricia x"

Jude Murphy reviewed: Glass fusing with artist Patricia Lee - as seen on BBC1 Home Is Where The Art Is

"I bought a voucher for my sister for her birthday for the glass fusing course and we went together. What a brilliant day, lovely people to chat to, Patricia’s guidance and expertise, a beautiful home made lunch (thanks for catering for GF too!). We learned how to cut glass and make our designs. There were lots of great ideas to chose from or you could take your own. My sister said it was one of the best Birthdays she has had. Thanks Patricia x"

Patricia Lee - All That Glass - Glass Art and Mosaic responded:

"Aaw thank you Jude. I'm glad Rachel enjoyed her birthday treat. No problem at all to cater for dietary requirements - in fact we've decided that the gluten free chocolate brownies are better than non GF! Patricia x"

Bridget Samsworth reviewed: The art of natural perfumery - weekend course

"The two day course was an informative, interesting and fun hands-on introduction to the world of natural fragrances and the history of perfumery. It was fascinating to explore the sense of smell which can be taken for granted and experience the different characteristics of a wide range of naturally occurring scents derived from plants and learn about the extraction of oils and resins. The course took place in a light-filled and calm studio set in a wonderful garden. Thank you Rowan."

Helen reviewed: Indigo blue, print and stitch a weekend creative retreat in Glasgow

"I have recently completed a similar weekend course run by Elisabeth Viguie Culshaw (at a different venue). I learnt how to set up and maintain an indigo vat and dyed samples using a variety of different fabrics. We covered various Shibori folding and clamping techniques and the use of everyday materials, such as clothes pegs and jam jar lids, as a resist to produce patterns on the dyed fabric. I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and felt that I learnt a lot. I was delighted that I came home with the skills to set up my own vat at home and continue experimenting with the techniques I'd learnt. Elisabeth is a knowledgeable and passionate tutor and made the whole weekend a fun and creative experience. I can't wait to get started on some more indigo dyeing!"

Albert reviewed: One-to-One Jewellery making course including wire work (beginners)

"I had the best day ever! I went to Jolene with my fiancee to make our wedding rings - if I'm honest, I was a little nervous about it before going, having not made any jewellery before and it being quite an important one! But Jolene made me feel completely at ease, guiding me through all stages, in her amazing, cute, quirky studio and the end result was Amazing!! I couldn't be more happy with the ring and with how the day went - it was so relaxed, fun, special and I'd love to go again. Can't recommend Jolene highly enough!!"
