A great course to go on! I really enjoyed my morning. I had no idea about Annie Sloan chalk paint and its versatility but now understand it so much better. Steph has a very easy going style as she imparts some basic techniques to wet our appetite and really that is just what you need to get going and explore the world of paint yourself. I have a feeling that what seemed basic in the class though may become not so easy when i get going but for now my confidence is high and i am ready to paint. Big thanks to Steph for giving me the inspiration.

Having already 'dabbled' a bit, it was great to ask the questions to a few matters I had trouble with. It was additionally very informative and what you can't do with Annie Sloane paints!! Amazing.
Lovely few hours with the very knowledgeable and entertaining Steph - thank you. Let the 'upcycling' commence - lol!
Highly recommend the course.

A good introduction into Annie Sloan paint and techniques , good to interact with other novices . I would have liked more time to actually practise the techniques to gain some more confidence during the day with Steph there to advise and guide . I have a starter pack so looking forward to trying it out at home

I thoroughly enjoyed this informative and interesting course. The teacher set up a great atmosphere straight away and was great at explaining, demonstrating and answering questions.
I guess the only small criticism I have is that we could have done more/learnt more painting in the time allotted.
Janet Goatly - - #10304
I thoroughly enjoyed the course. Stephanie was a brilliant tutor and explained and answered every question that was raised. I have gone away with lots of ideas - I just need to put them into practice!

A fun morning that built my confidence to the point where I feel equipped to tackle the project I had in mind. Plenty of hands on work and time for questions and useful to bring the sample piece of wood home to remind me of the finishes.

I'm not a beginner to upcycling furniture. But, I am a beginner to upcycling with Annie Sloan paints. The course was excellent and introduced me to new painting techniques including using wax in conjunction with paint. The course was well structured and delivered in a relaxed/fun atmosphere by Steph, who has whetted my appetite to use my newly acquired skills and Annie Sloan paints in the near future. I'm sure my home and immediate family will benefit from what I have learned.

I am so glad I chose to do this course! Steph is the oracle of all things Chalk Paint - if you're looking to learn about furniture up-cycling, different painting techniques, waxing, craqueleur, decoupage, tips and tricks, dos and don'ts - look no further.
Thank you Steph for a thoroughly enjoyable day - lots of fun, you make a great tutor and ambassador to the Annie Sloan method! Great little shop too!

As a complete beginner this workshop was good, it gave me some ideas and I learnt you can pretty much paint anything including shoes!

What a lovely day we have had! A great course, with lots of techniques and ideas to get started using the Annie Sloane product range, topped off by Steph's friendly and knowledgeable guidance. Thank you so much - Can't wait to get started putting it all into practice!
Aude Espinasse - - #7823
A really great course which has given me the confidence to start painting my own furniture. I found the distressing technique helpful and will definitely experiment layering two colours in the future. A lot of information into the paints and techniques was provided and I had not realised how many waxes there are and the very different looks you can achieve by changing wax. A great course to inspire and give you the confidence to get going!
Kirsty Locke - - #6601
Very well presented and instructed by Steph. Now inspired to "up-cycle" my Ducal furniture. Met some like minded folk with whom I will keep in touch and we are going to swop furniture that we don't need. Will keep in touch with Steph. and her La-di-da interiors shop and purchase more products for decorating my new kitchen. Very happy thank you.

Love the courses at La Di Da, they provide a great environment to learn the techniques in. Steph is friendly and professional in her approach. I have learnt loads and really enjoyed being able to find my creative spirit again.

I knew nothing about Annie Sloan Chalk Paint before the course. The course was great and gave all the basics to get started! Now I just need to convince hubby to let me paint our furniture!
Elise Taylor - - #6545
I had looked at the adverts for this course a number of times before finally deciding to give it a go, and boy am I glad I did.
It is ideal for anyone new to upcycling as it not only teaches you the techniques you need to know, but also the short cuts, Steph is more than happy to share her wealth of knowledge during the morning. On the course I attended we seemed to spend most of our time having "light bulb moments" as our eyes were opened to just what could be achieved with Annie Sloan products.
I would thoroughly recommend this course
Sue Canavan - - #6543
Stephanie was a superb teacher and I loved my intro to Annie Sloan painting techniques. Following on from the course I have gone on to do several projects.
I'd recommend anyone to this course for those who like me love restoring furniture but needed to know some techniques or if you just fancy trying something new!
Sadly as I am moving I wont be able to come back to any courses with Stephanie but she was a great teacher and her business at La Di Da is certainly a success!
