Tracy reviewed: Pottery/ceramics wheel throwing (full day)

"Lorraine was very informative. Thoroughly enjoyed this course. She was very patient as it was something I'd never done before and found it a little tricky at times. It was bought for me as a way to relax and it certainly did the job. Would highly recommend"

Linda James reviewed: Fused Glass workshops at Bere Alston, near Tavistock, Devon

"A most comprehensive day of tuition, help and encouragement. Relaxed, genuine enthusiasm and interest enabled a positive experience. A lovely day. Even if you think you know how to do some aspects and are aware of things - skills take time, allow even more - especially if like me you talk a lot. Most enjoyable, thank you."

It was great fun too and with such a small group, was relaxing and rewarding. Natasha Byrne (Willow Blossum) reviewed: Upholstery and upcycling furniture and interiors

"Dear Lucy, Thank you so much for the opportunity to work with & learn from you & your wealth of Knowledge of all things interior & love of colour too. In my case your generosity in sharing your knowledge of upholstering, your advice, encouragement & help throughout the day to not only myself, but also the other 2 Lovely Ladies & their projects & being able to listen & watch (at times) & learn what you were teaching & advising them as well. To now have such a wonderful & beautiful piece of furniture that I will treasure & enjoy forever, as will my family & fur babies in the most stunningly beautiful & magical Fabric, almost ever, by Emma Shipley. ??????‍????????? I’ve always loved colour, describing myself as a ‘Colour Freak’ (in the nicest possible way!!) but only realised of late just how much not only my house but especially myself, my choice in the colours I use in our house & my choices of clothes, both style but especially colour has changed & how that change has impacted both my physical & mental health in such a negative way. I used to love & be so passionate about & not worry about what others thought or said about ‘My Style’, but unfortunately the realisation of late that some time ago that did in fact change, & I was indeed & had in fact completely changed everything because of others. No more.....I have begun to find ‘Me’ again & started searching for ‘The Things’ that make ‘Me’ happy & that very much does include Colour! ❤️????????? My journey only began recently & have to be careful not to put my foot pedal to the floor & go at full throttle & to take my time & dip my paint brush, as it were into carefully chosen projects, activities & choosing like minded people like myself & yourself that share a love & passion of similar things, especially colour & making & creating & animals, especially cats. ? From the bottom of my Heart Lucy, thank you for such a wonderful day & for not only sharing your knowledge but sharing your Incredible Space. A safe space, such a beautiful & incredibly inspiring place crammed full with so many magical ✨ delights, including the ‘man in the shower!!’ And for plying us with Tea & Delicious Cakes ☕️?? & even inviting us into your beautiful colour drenched home for a truly scrumptious homemade soup ? & bread ? & a gorgeous ginger marmalade cat, Paddington & Mr Brown of course. ??? For absolutely everything dear Lucy, thank you. ??❤️?? I cannot wait to visit & attend what I hope will be many more wonderful & inspiring courses with you, if you will have me? ? I truly cannot recommend enough what you do & what you have created & I personally am so very pleased to have found you & proud of myself too, as I conquered many things the day I attended your course. To come away with such a beatiful piece of re-upholstered furniture is, for me almost beyond comprehension & a bonus. ??❤️??"

Kristen Treen reviewed: A lino cut workshop with Linda Farquharson

"This was a fantastic course. Taking place in Linda's beautiful, state of the art studio, it was a brilliant and informative two days, during which time Linda helped me approach one particular aspect of linocut making I'd been hoping to improve on for a while. Linda's own work is extremely impressive and it was a real joy to be instructed by her. The class size was small, which meant she was available to offer guidance throughout, and she did a fantastic job of providing tips and advice which helped me to shape and improve the piece I was working on. She was also brilliant at arranging some of the more time-consuming elements of printmaking (page setup etc) so that most of our time could be spent on cutting and printing; we picked up tips on presentation from her as we went. Delicious lunches and cake breaks topped everything off! I would recommend this course very highly, to beginners and those who have done printmaking before."

Andy and Adrian were excellent teachers, very patient and knowledgeable Plenty of tea & biscuits provided during the day and the meal at lunch time was superb. The setting of the bunk barn is also excellent, lovely views over Ribblehead viaduct. Would highly recommend! :)"
