Course Start DatesTuesday 17th March 2020
About the Course
This is a two hour evening workshop, to help you unwind with a playful, fun, satisfying and unique print process that gives quick and beautiful results.
In a friendly supportive environment you will learn the technique, tips and tricks of using small artist quality rollers with hand cut paper stencils to build up a print on paper and card using your own simple drawn shapes. Discover the magic of the materials that create texture, transparent layers and wonderful gradients, built up in layers. We'll play with shapes, and composition to find a balance.
This workshop allows you the space to experiment with this process, with Sophie's help and guidance along the way.
Within a couple of hours you'll have produced a number of A4 prints, played with mixing many different colours, created your own stencils and learnt tips about colour combinations and composition.
No art experience or drawing ability required, just an interest in learning a new process.
Previous students have said:
'Lots of freedom, materials provided. Lovely colours', ‘Hands on from the start - lots of time to experiment', 'Can get results right away.'
'Stimulating, Relaxing, Fun', 'Sophie was a really friendly good teacher', 'Creative, learning from you and others in class. Sociable. A skill which I can do at home', 'Lots of time to be creative very encouraging atmosphere'

My daughter & I were given gift vouchers as we said we wanted to try new experiences this year. We absolutely loved our evening & got completely engrossed in what we were able to create. Sophie is informative, helpful & encouraging. We left with our artwork feeling very pleased with ourselves.

A really enjoyable relaxed course. Sophie gives excellent and encouraging guidance to help participants quickly produce lovely artwork. I have used the skills I learnt to produce birthday and Christmas cards and friends and family seem to appreciate receiving something unique. Fantastic artistic skills are not required just a willingness to enjoy and not be afraid to experiment. Oh and Sophie plays some excellent music whilst you work! Thanks Sophie
Julie Seary - - #26992
Response from Sophie Rae:Many Thanks Julie
2 hours flew by!
Clear instructions given by Sophie and plenty of time to experiment and play with this process.
It is great fun to do as a group or on one's own.
Sharne Everett - - #25842
Response from Sophie Rae:Thank you Sharne for your lovely review.
Sophie put on an amazing workshop – she created a really fun, relaxed atmosphere that encouraged people to really get stuck in – and help each other.
You really don't need to be 'artsy' to do this – you can create amazing pieces with just a few layers.
The instructions are really clear, and you get into the action really quick. You get plenty of quality time with Sophie, and she helps you create some really great prints – we will be framing and hanging ours!
