A 4-part online ceramics class in conjunction with Bourn Pottery.
This course is aimed at beginners.
We will explore the nature of the material, make some of our own tools, look at how clay is relevant to our environment and learn the technical details that will enable us to navigate the pottery catalogues and get our work fired.
This course is very much a response to the current Covid-19 restrictions and is intended as a starting point for working in clay, helping you to gain the knowledge that you need to make the most of face to face courses that you might progress on to.
We start each session with a brief demonstration and then we can all work together on our projects, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and interact with each other.
The aim is to get us as close as possible to the experience of a face to face class and to kick start a creative community that can go much further than the class itself.
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

Bourn pottery can also supply clay giving you the opportunity to pick up your supplies as you drop off work for firing.
Alternatively, you may have your own kiln, or you may live in a different part of the world and will have a pottery locally that can supply you with clay and fire your work for you.
