About the Course
At the end of the day you would have made a Sculpture, but will need to be left to dry and fired.
My workshops are designed for complete beginners and improvers.
Generally I cover animal sculpture, like Hare, Dogs, Foxes, Cats etc
I will talk you through it step by step.
If you don’t want to make an animal you can make large bowl or vase, using either slab pieces and build it or coiling method. These are simple methods but need bit of patience
Once again I will help you with these methods.
Once your sculpture is finished, it is left to dry and then fired.
You will either return for 2 hour session to glaze it or I can glaze it myself.
If anyone is interested in a workshop during the week let me know. I need a minimum of 2 students.
I try and made classes relaxed and fun.

A group of 4 of us had a great day with Connie who is very warm and welcoming. Although none of us had ever done this before, Connie’s guidance and patience helped us to achieve fantastic results. Would highly recommend and we have already booked another workshop.

Absolutely brilliant day, l cannot thank Connie enough, she was very welcoming, friendly and supportive, guiding the 4 of us to make amazing animal sculptures far beyond our expectations, can't wait to see them when fired. We have already booked another session. I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone, fun with excellent end results even though we were complete beginners.
Katrina Cole - - #25901
Response from Connie Fielder Ceramics:Hi Katrina and ladies,
I have attended several of these 1 day sessions as I find it an excellent opportunity to create a piece in one go. The days always have a warm informal approach with the tutor on hand to give her excellent guidance as needed during the day. A great day for beginners or experienced artists alike. Would highly recommend this workshop to anyone :)
Susan Hester - - #25816
Response from Connie Fielder Ceramics:Thank you Susan.
I have done two of these courses with Connie. I am a complete beginner, but I have two lovely animals. Connie helped me every step of the way, she has great patience! Thanks once again.
Sue Wren - - #25805
Response from Connie Fielder Ceramics:Hi Sue
I booked Connie's workshop as a birthday present for my fiancé. It turned out to be a really wonderful present and one which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Connie is such a lovely person and her welcoming, warm nature made for a day that was really fun and relaxed. She is very talented and guides you every step of the way. We couldn't believe the quality of the sculptures that we were able to make, both being complete novices. Would highly recommend this workshop to anyone!
