About the Course
The aim of this course, which runs over four Saturday mornings, is to enable students to design and make a truly unique piece of jewellery. Various techniques are taught allowing students to pick the methods they like the most.
In sessions 1, 2 & 3 you will be taught the techniques listed below and given time to experiment with copper. By the end of the 3rd session you should have decided exactly what you want to make and therefore Rose will be able to order your silver for you ready for the 4th and final class. If you need guidance when designing your piece, Rose will be there to help. All of the classes are small, ensuring each student can have the attention they need - the maximum number of students in any of Rose's jewellery making classes in 5 people.
Since a student can make whatever they wish (provided the techniques shown enable this) the price of silver is not included in the cost of the course.
20mm diameter pendant necklace with a silver chain would cost around £10
4mm thick silver bangle would cost around £30
10mm diameter stud earrings would cost around £5
