Silver Jewellery Making Workshop

During the 3 hour session you will learn basic skills of cutting, forming, soldering and texturing silver to form a piece of Jewellery of your choice. Silver is a soft metal and a joy to work with as it will bend easily or take an impression or stamp with ease. This means the design possibilities are endless so we can work to your leave of ability and to a style you admire.

I will demonstrate techniques but this is very much a hands-on workshop where you will be doing all the work on your piece.

After a refreshment break you will finish your piece by sanding and polishing it to a dazzling shine, before taking it home.

It is a one to one workshop in my studio, based in Ely Cambridgeshire. You can choose to make a necklace, ring, bangle or earrings.

I have designs suitable for men and women so you may wish to make something for yourself or as a gift for someone special. We can discuss ideas when you book the session.

I can be flexible with time and dates.

I can supply a voucher if it is a gift.

The workshop is suitable for beginners, intermediate and over 18s.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

The cost of the workshop includes all silver, materials, use of tools and refreshments. IE Tea, coffee and cake.

In-person course

It was my 1st time making a ring and I went with some ideas but after chatting and working through ideas with Juile we came up with a better design which I love. It was challenging but very satisfying. Juile was wonderful to work with and learn from as she has patience and a real love of jewellery making to pass on.

Response from Jewellery By Julie:

Thank you for the lovely review. It was great fun making the ring with you. As you said challenging but satisfying. Hope your ring has been greatly admired.

In-person course

Having no experience with jewellery making, Julie ensured we were choosing the design that we wanted. Even before the class started, we felt the warm welcome from Julie. The class itself was amazing and Julie took time for each one of us to progress with our design and offered advice on how each of our designs can effect the ring and the process.

I definitely recommend this course to anyone wanting to try something new. The facilities, tools, and the cake, was amazing.

Thank you Julie for your time.

Response from Jewellery By Julie:

It was a very enjoyable and productive session. Thank you Sean for the kind words and for taking the time to write a review. I hope you both enjoy wearing your rings.
