This is a one day workshop for one person.
On the Silver Jewellery taster day you will be able to get a feel what it is like to work with silver.
We will use silver sheet and wire to form shapes for pendants, bangles and rings.
You will learn about soldering, and using the piercing saw to cut out your designs.
By the end of the day, you will have a finished piece of jewellery to wear and enjoy.
The cost of materials will be approximately £20 paid to the Lecturer. There is a 1hour lunchbreak. Please bring your own, or there are a couple of really good cafes nearby.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
All tools will be provided, along with a limited amount of silver to practice on (we will discuss what you would like to make before the course date, and there will be an extra charge, depending on what you would like to make).
Accommodation nearby can be provided at an extra cost.
5 hours (10:00am to 3:00pm)

I had such a great time on this course and can't recommend it enough. It's a very rewarding experience seeing the crafting process through from start to end, the tutoring was clear and helped get the most out of the day. I'd love to return to experiment with more ambitious designs now that I feel more confident thanks to this course! :)
This was well paced for beginners and everything was well explained. The end products were impressive, it was a very enjoyable day out.
Response from Kathryn Arbon Jewellery:
Thank you Sandra, it was a pleasure to teach you both. You did really well!I am a complete novice, when it comes to jewellery making. Katherine was really encouraging and supportive. I really enjoyed my lessons and have made a beautiful bracelet, which Katherine has used in her advertisement for her courses, I was so proud when I saw it. I can't wait to go back to make some matching earrings!
A very good interesting course, exactly what I wanted. Kate is extremely patient and clear in her teaching including the safety aspect of all the equipment. I am very pleased with the pendant and ring necklace I made having had no previous experience. I shall enrol in a further course.
