"I have been going to Sarah’s wreath class for a few years now, they get better and better. When I first went I didn’t have a clue, now I can experiment more and always have a fantastic result at the end. Sarah’s warm welcome and a cheeky glass of Prosecco makes for a fantastic evening. I cannot recommend the class highly enough. Roll on the spring class!"

Hilary Baker reviewed: Pottery workshop at Claynglaze Pottery

"A friend recommended Claynglaze to me 18 months ago and I absolutely love it! I have met such lovely people and look forward to my weekly sessions. The courses are incredibly informative and over time I have learned new skills which I didn’t think I was capable of. Wendy guides us gently at our own pace and manages to bring out the best in everyone, producing some stunning results. The new studio is well equipped, spacious and the atmosphere happy and jovial. Wendy has many years experience and is happy to share her wealth of skill and knowledge with us students. I would thoroughly recommend Claynglaze to anyone!"

Claynglaze responded:

"Thankyou Hilary. So glad you are enjoying pottery. Is it really 18 months already how time flys!"

Megan Ann Keeling reviewed: Make your own leather belt with Cazzy, a qualified saddler.

"I had a great few hours with Cazzy learning how to make a belt, she took us through the basics so no prior experience was required and we had plenty of practice of the required techniques before moving on to our final belt. The materials we were using were top quality so my husband now has a belt that will last him many years. This course was great fun with lots of laughter and I would certainly recommend it."

"What a find! I absolutely love going to Pottery. Wendy is always so helpful and inspirational. The studio is very very well equipped (I had been somewhere else which was so poorly equipped). Wendy is always hosting whole day courses as well as our regular weekly sessions. The Day courses are so well run. Breakfast on arrival, lunch, endless cups of tea and sometimes we even have fireworks and of course we learn how to create beautiful things. I especially loved the Raku Firing day. I’ve made lovely friends and look forward to many more years potting. Thank you Wendy"

Joe Basketts reviewed: Woodworking - Make Your Own Workbench

"Having previously attended Steve's beginner course, I enjoyed his relaxed style and patient tutoring so much that I enrolled on the workbench making course straight away. This course was just as good as I had hoped it would be, and I learnt a huge amount over the two days. The added bonus is that I now have a superb workbench in my workshop which will serve me for a very long time. I am in the process of enrolling on my third course with Steve which should tell you something! If you are in the market for a workbench, then I can't think of a single reason not to do it this way. You won't buy one that is this high quality for the money and you'll learn heaps about woodworking along the way in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. I can't recommend this course, and Steve, highly enough. A brilliant experience, thank you Steve."

Dovetail Woodworking responded:

"Hi Joe, Thanks for the review. Good to know you managed to re-assemble the bench without too much difficulty - the top is quite heavy and awkward on your own. All the best, Steve."

Carole H reviewed: Make a silver ring or bangle

"Just before Christmas for my last visit of the year to Lucy. The focus was a lot of soldering to join the three main parts of my bangle in readiness for stone setting in the new year The day was full-on but we took time out to chat about Christmas. I admired the wreaths Lucy had made, and some beautiful baubles found on a recent visit to Chester Cathedral that seemed designed by a jeweller! Lucy also showed me pictures of the amazing Knife Angel statue she had seen there. If you are interested in jewellery making at any level don't hesitate to book a day with Lucy."

Janine Ebling reviewed: Table Loom Weaving Workshop - Dobby & Rose

"Fabulous beginner's weaving workshop with Rebecca. She very kindly fitted a workshop in for us in the limited timeframe my brother was here in UK. My brother and my daughter did the workshop together, and found Rebecca very warm, relaxed and friendly and she had a good teaching style that was informative of the whole process involved, and not patronising in any way. They both produced a beautiful piece of woven fabric, and thoroughly enjoyed the session. Highly recommended!"
