Alison reviewed: Glass Experience Day: Try fused glass, stained glass and enamelling in 1 course!

"What a fantastic way to spend a day. Sarah explained everything in detail from cutting the glass to how it changes in the firing process. Then there was a sample of stained glass, even using a soldering iron! The day was finished off with copper enamelling which was amazing to see how the enamelling changed in the firing process. Sarah was always on hand if you had any questions or to point you in the right direction. All part of the 3 in 1 day was a delicious Ploughman's lunch too! Would highly recommend to anyone as no prior experience is needed."

Sarah Greening Glass responded:

"Thanks so much Alison - I loved helping you make your masterpieces! the fused glass is just out of the kiln and looks beautiful too! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review."

Juliet reviewed: Flower portraits - weekend art workshops in Anglesey, North Wales

"A relaxed and pleasurable 2 days observing and painting flowers. Georgina helped us to look carefully. She shared her water colour techniques and offered us much encouragement. I came away inspired to practise and improve after seeing some of Georgia's own outstanding artworks. We had coffees, teas, cakes and biscuits and a lot of fun! After painting anemones in the studio, I've come home and tackled irises!"

Georgina Rambton responded:

"Thank you for your review! And thank you for coming on the workshop. I love that you went home and tackled irises! X"

Brad Mc reviewed: Introduction to Epoxy Resin Block Casting

"What a fantastic day! I thought I was booking onto a group class and was very pleasantly surprised to find it was a private session for just our party of two! Dave says he much prefers it this way and I do too as it meant he could be very attentive to us and give us all the help and demos we needed He was incredibly knowledgeable, and gave lots of tips and advice and even prepared an info pack for us to take away so we can do it in future. The course was tailored to what we hoped to get out of it. Dave's a top guy and was really friendly and so easy to get along with. Could not recommend the course more!"

Hand forged Yorkshire responded:

"Massively appreciate your amazing review Brad, thank you very much. It was a genuine pleasure to meet you both and I really enjoyed the class"

Will reviewed: Advanced spoon carving techniques

"Nick is a friendly, knowledgable and patient teacher! He taught my wife and me to make spoons from a wood billet from scratch. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who has any interest in wood carving. I had never done anything like it before but thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife also really enjoyed it, and found it different to whittling which she has some prior experience with. Using axes and a draw-horse was particularly enjoyable!"

Tina Evans reviewed: Lino printing landscapes

"As a complete novice to lino printing I didn’t know what to expect from the day but I was really delighted. Lee took our class of 6 gently through the process, working at our pace and giving encouragement every step of the way. The old school is a comfortable environment with log burners and plentiful tea and coffee. The day went very quickly and I was amazed at what we’d all achieved! I would recommend to anyone new to the process or wanting to learn more: you’re surrounded by Lee’s work and it’s very inspiring!"

Perfect for both beginners and experienced smiths - Chris was brilliant, explains perfectly and correctly, shows every skill you could need and keeps a close eye on everything your doing. He also allows you to do your own bit and make things to a way you like. A perfect chance to create a individual piece of art. Safe and easy to find. No issues at all and well worth it. 5 STARS!!!"
