Toby H reviewed: Woodturning tuition in Wiltshire

"What a great day wood turning. I walked in to Andy's workshop a complete beginner. Andy was welcoming and a great teacher, with ample patience required in covering the fundamentals of wood turning. Awesome location for me workshop packed with tools and machines for the day, plenty of tea coffee and cake provided by the lovely Mary and assistance from Angus the terrier! The day was very well paced for me and progressive, starting with the basics of wood turning tools and methods and culminating in producing a good looking bowl in the afternoon. I hadn't quite realised the variety and scope of the craft and a day is only really enough time to scrape the surface and get a taste of wood turning, would definitely recommend booking 2 or more days with Andy. Thanks for a great day!"

Samantha Mann reviewed: Patchwork and Quilting Workshop (Introduction)

"I attended this course because I wanted to gain an understanding of how to go about quilting - yes I could have read a book - but I wanted to listen to an experienced quilter and see the essential skills demonstrated. I did that and more, Deborah brought alive the skill of patchwork and quilting and I came away with a cushion that I had created from scratch. Thank you Deborah, I look forward to building on my skills in part two."

Zoe Olivia Bradley reviewed: Make a Tiffany stained glass tea light

"We booked this for my mother in law as a Christmas present, and I decided that I would go along with her to keep her company. This presented with some level of anxiety as she’s the crafty one not me… but I wanted her to have someone to enjoy the course with. I am so glad I decided to come along. It was a brilliant course, and even novices like me were able to take something home that I’d be proud to put on the side! Kate was a fantastic course tutor, and was really encouraging. I’d definitely be back for another course. Thanks again."

I’d never made jewellery of any kind before, and didn’t expect to create anything of beauty, yet my finished items turned out well, and would not have looked out of place in any craft shop.
