Catherine reviewed: Blacksmithing Introduction courses in Yorkshire and the North East

"Absolutely fantastic experience. Adrian, Andrew & Debbie were very welcoming and friendly. The techniques were demonstrated and explained, and the guys were on hand to provide advice if and when required. There was a real sense of achievement watching a solid bar start to shape up into a dragon, something I thought it would never do! The food was delicious too - definitely worth going just for Debbie’s cakes! The day was worth every penny and I wouldn’t hesitate in going back."

Sally-Ann reviewed: Silver jewellery making class for beginners

"My friend Jo and I had a wonderful day learning with Jonathan. The class was really well structured with lots of helpful techniques taught using copper wire and flat pieces shaped and decorated. We also learned to solder and made a set of 3 lovely nesting rings which made a great necklace. There were lots of ideas and possibilities for the silver piece in the afternoon and I am delighted with the long bar earrings I made for my daughter. I learned so much and had a lovely time. Thank you Jonathan!"

"Thank you Sally-Ann (and Jo). It was a good day to be in the cool studio when it was roasting outside. I hope your daughter enjoys the earrings and well done with your new jewellery making skills! Jonathan"

Donna Flowers reviewed: Stonecarving Weekend, Gloucestershire Cotswolds

"Excellent course, Sebastian is a lovely guy and the setting is superb. We had a great group and worked outdoors, there was plenty of shaded areas, which was good in this weather! We were given tuition but left to get on with it unless we asked for guidance , which left me feeling free and trusted to have a go. The end result was really good and I've come away with a piece pf work that I would have paid for! You have free rein to make whatever you please, but the guidance on how to achieve it. Highly recommend and can't wait to book again to return! ❤?"

Wayne Smith reviewed: One person - Full day 6 hours sculpture/soldering brazing wire forming course, specialising in insects, fairies

"Brilliant and informative course - thoroughly recommended! I attended a one to one course with Roger for the day yesterday. Beforehand Roger had liaised regarding my level of expertise - absolute novice, the safety equipment required (although he provided most of it) and whether I had a particular form of welding in mind. I had a MIG welder for a Christmas present a couple of years ago which was still in the box. I swapped photos with Roger and he told me what wire etc. I needed. On the day we set-up my welder and plugged it in for the first time and I was welding within minutes under Roger's expert tuition. We covered welding all sorts and thicknesses of materials and the respective settings for the machine with me continuously welding through the day. I was also taught how to use a TIG welder towards the end of course. Very enjoyable, informative and practical course."

High Definition wire sculpture responded:

"Thank you Wayne, for a great review of my course . Im so pleased was able to launch you on your welding hobby The one to one lessons means i am able to focus and spot things like good glasses needed for welding. If you need any help setting up please message me . Roger"

Jane Morgans reviewed: Needle felted hares for two in Hebden Bridge

"I had a really enjoyable day and Jo was an excellent tutor. She was very patient and encouraging and I was delighted to be able to make a hare I was proud of in one day . I worked steadily but without the pressure I’ve felt on some courses I’ve been in . Harold Hare has been much admired by my friends and family. I would highly recommend this course even for a beginner as Jo clearly demonstrates and explains what to do and is on hand at all times to help . I will definitely be doing another needle felting day with Jo and also have a go at my own project at home ."

Lisa Graham reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"Set in beautiful gardens, in peaceful countyside, this course did wonders for my wellbeing. Each step of creating our hare was rewarding and Jo was extremely good at demonstrating the stages when required and moving us on. Jo and her husband are very warm and welcoming and there was an abundance of tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the day which you could take whilst walking through the mowed pathways in the gardens. I am delighted with my final hare and would highly recommend the course."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Lisa. I love all the stages of the hare sculpting process - each one is fun in it’s own way! We mow different path routes around the grounds each year - the dogs use them as their race track. Jo x "
