Description
I am a self taught textile artist based in Mid Devon. I have always had a love of both sewing and art and have now combined the two interests to create beautiful individual pieces of textile art inspired by nature. I am both a member of the Devon Artist Network and The Society For Embroidered Work. Free motion machine embroidery is a very addictive technique which is becoming very popular. This workshop focuses on producing a piece of worked based on the theme of 'Seascapes'. I will start the day by going through the basic techniques, including how to set up your sewing machine. Maker
I am a Devon based self taught textile artist specialising in free motion machine embroidery. I create contemporary botanical art, landscapes and seascapes, all inspired by the natural world around me. I have chosen not to use fabric dyes or paints in my work so prefer to use up-cycled textiles where possible for their variety and individuality. I am a member of The Embroiderers Guild, The Society For Embroidered Work and the Devon Artist Network
