Description

This fun workshop will move you on from “in-the-ditch” quilting and from quilting straight lines. Using a variety of techniques we will work on quilting samples to find a style and method that suits you best.

What's included in the price?

This workshop is aimed at those with some quilting experience who are keen to move their skills on in a completely new direction. However, it is suitable for all abilities as full tuition and hand-holding will be provided on the day. You will need to bring a sewing machine where you can lower the feed dogs. Alternatively, you can use a darning plate to cover the feed dogs (supplied with your machine).

In case we haven’t met before, I’m Jen Johnson and I run Sew Forest of Dean, teaching all aspects of sewing by machine or by hand. I’m also a crazy cat lady, wife to Ed and Mum to identical twins Oscar and Charlie. My workshops and courses take place in my purpose-built garden studio in Clearwell and my aim is very simple – to help get people sewing. My designs have been featured in British Patchwork and Quilting Magazine and I am qualified in Textiles, from Herefordshire Ludlow College.
