James reviewed: Creative metalwork and welding, scrap metal sculpture.

"An excellent day course for scrap metal welding. I’d already done some welding but had never gotten my hands on some scrap metal and a well-equipped workshop. It was a great day and I almost finished a rather ambitious project of a life sized electric guitar. The tutors were very helpful and all safety equipment was provided. Thanks a lot! "

WTF Workshops responded:

"Thanks so much for your review James. Your project was wonderful and we were very impressed. Your Father did great work too. Well done both! Hope you can join us again in the future."

Jenny reviewed: Pole Lathing Taster Day

"My husband, Keith and I had a great time on the pole lathing taster day. I personally got carried away trialling the various tools so my masher is far too heavy but lovely to look at but I am over the moon with my garden dibber ! It was amusing that it started a rush on black lines in the narrow grooves on handles! Thanks to both Pete & Jacqui for their generosity of time and knowledge over a vast range of subjects !!"

"This was a present for my mum's birthday and we had a fantastic time. We had never tried glass beadmaking so it was all new to us. Great fun and would 100% recommend. "

Jen Scott reviewed: Brush Calligraphy Workshop - Saturday Afternoons

"What a lovely way to spend an afternoon! On entry all our materials were laid out beautifully with names on all our place cards. The venue itself (Megan’s) was also lovely with staff at hand to take drinks orders. Although using the brush pens took some concentration, the process became really relaxing and although there were no great expectations or pressure for an amazing end result, we all saw great improvement from beginning to end! I would really recommend the course and hope to come again to another course in the future."

Jen Roffe responded:

"I'm so glad you enjoyed the workshop Jen, it really is a lovely way to spend an afternoon! You made great progress, which was so lovely to see. Enjoy spending some more relaxing time doing calligraphy, now that you've learnt a new craft! Hope to see you for another workshop soon :)"

Ann Armstrong reviewed: Crafts in the Valley - Beginners glass fusing workshops in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire

"I have recently attended several of Melanie's fused glass workshops. The atmoshere that she creates in the studio is warm welcoming and inclusive .As somebody new to this type of craft I thought that it might not be for me... but now I am totally hooked and look forward to my next creative experience. The joy of unwrapping each beautifully wrapped item after it has been in the kiln is for me like a child opening their birthday/Christmas presents! For anybody wondering whether fused glass is for them, I am certain that Melanie will convince you that it is! Give it a try... there is always plenty of delicious cake to assist the creative process."
