Mark reviewed: Wood joints class using reclaimed materials

"I did this course with Tyler to see if it would motivate me to take up joinery as a hobby, having zero experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and found Tyler to be an excellent teacher, explaining things clearly and with passion; he also had a great sense of humour. We made a couple of joints from hardwood using a variety of tools, and I was very pleased with my mortise and tenon joint. Tyler even gifted the group a couple of chisels which he had painstakingly sharpened. Would highly recommend. "

Jas reviewed: Make a silver ring with Silv-r Designs

"Ali was a great teacher , talking us through every step of the process from the initial sizing and cutting of the metal all the way to the final polishing. As a complete beginnner her guidance was perfect and the rings came out great (its insane we cant even tell where we joined the rings together)! We did this as a couple and got to make each others rings for our anniversary so we had a physical item we can cherish forever! The tea was a welcome added bonus and she made sure we were nice and warm inside the workshop aswell. Would absolutely recommend!!!"

Silv-r Designs responded:

"Hello Jas Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It was a pleasure to spend the morning with you both and your rings were really lovely. For complete beginners you did incredibly well and it was a pleasure to support you to make such meaningful pieces for each other. With best wishes Ali"

Denise H reviewed: Glass fused light

"Firstly thank you Ali for your hard work and how much you put in to your courses. I thoroughly enjoyed the glass fusing. Not only did you teach us all about glass fusing and we made an amazing night light but you give us other projects to make to show us how differently we can fuse glass together. You also showed us nothing is lost or no good as there are always roads back as well as more learning. Thank you so much. I will be not only repeating courses with you but looking for other crafting challenges you may have. I highly recommend your courses..Thank you"

Stamps Away responded:

"Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it, you made some beautiful pieces and I loved how your night light turned out."

CHINGYI TSAI reviewed: Wool School Individual Tuition

"I had a wonderful four-day course with Bec — it was both professional and full of joy. This was my first time in the UK, and on the first day, Bec kindly took me around the town and introduced me to the local area. Besides her professional teaching, she also shared so much about British culture, which made me feel deeply connected to this country. English is obviously not my first language, but Bec’s patience and clear explanations helped me understand everything easily. She even prepared written notes to help me follow along better, which I really appreciated. My family joined the course with me — my mum doesn’t speak English at all, but she still had a great time! I truly feel that Bec’s kindness and passion go beyond language barriers. In just four days, I learned and experienced so much. I’d love to come back for more classes in the future. Highly recommended! 🌟"

The Woven Briar Ltd responded:

"Thank you all so much for a wonderful week. I had so much fun sharing my joy for wool with you. Keeping touch xx "

Jane Rawlins reviewed: Introduction to Soap Making Workshop with Afternoon Tea in Lincolnshire

"Absolutely loved this course. Louise is a great tutor and I really valued the fact that it wasn't simply a demonstration, nor was it a 'do as I say' experience. It was a really well explained and practical course which allowed us to get hands on with making soap, choosing our own fragrances, colours and decorations whilst all the while being guided by Louise. I've come away determined never to buy soap again, and also determined to do another one of Louise's craft courses one day!"

deb reviewed: Weaving: the journey begins

"From basics to weaving my first tartan pattern all in one day, hands on is so much better than watching you tube vids. Get a fuller understanding of the loom and its foibles what does what and how to build a weave up. Bring a packed lunch this is a 6hr session. Ashleigh is very good and found the session enjoyable and easy going."

Tartan Caledonia responded:

"Glad you enjoyed the session if you need a hand with your loom on your first warp or tartan design just drop me a message via email."

Ashley Page reviewed: Stained Glass using the Copper Foil Technique

"My wife and I had a great day with Elaine. The whole experience was one I would highly recommend anyone, regardless of ability, to try. The level of instruction was just right, there when needed, but left alone to get on with it the rest. The whole experience was very “mindful” we found. Elaine was very friendly and we all talked like we knew each other which made for a really relaxed day. As a bonus we were also both very pleased with what we made."

Stained Glass by Elaine Alexandra responded:

"Thank you for leaving a lovely review. I am pleased that you highlight the day as being suitable for people to try regardless of their ability as so often people are very shy of working with glass. With Best Wishes. Elaine"
