Learn how to make a tote bag and insert a zip in one day! If you are a complete beginner, able to thread your machine and wish to learn a bit more, need a refresher or if you have attended our Day 1 - 'Get to know your sewing machine' workshop, this workshop is suitable for you. In the morning, we will do a refresher of how to use your machine. If you have not used a machine before, then let me know and I will make sure that you get shown the fundamental steps. We will then go on to make a super handy tote bag, big enough for a quick trip to the shops or to hold a project or university books! It's lined (no seams showing) and has a square base. and.... in the afternoon, you will also be guided through the steps of inserting a zip when we make TWO zipped and LINED pouches. If you find the thought of inserting a zip a bit worrying then come along and I will show you some easy steps to make it good every time Useful for so many things; make up, toiletries, cables, coins, medication, the list is endless! During the day you will learn how to: - make handles - make a lining - insert a zip - make a pouch - insert lining into your zipped pouch You will have full written detailed instructions with images to take away as a reminder of the steps when you make more at home, and of course your lovely bags to keep. All fabrics and zips are provided, please bring your machine or contact me if you need to hire one for the day This is an adults workshop - suitable for 18yrs and over

Yes, there is free parking outside the hall
Unfortunately not - there are limited spaces for all of my workshops and they get booked up quite quickly, so to avoid disappointment you will need to book beforehand
If you have a machine, then it is best to bring this along - please make sure it is in good working order
If you do not have a machine, you can hire a machine for the duration of the workshop for a minimal fee paid on the day, please let me know at the time of booking
